Buying 964RS

ORIGINAL: RSR

Blimey, good old Wolbert seems to have his own private economy in Holland. The Black 3.8 car is PhilRS's old car (he's now got the very rare 964 RSR factory racer). Amazing that this car may achieve £39,500 sterling equivalent in Holland, we're not that far away. Knowing what H&S sold it for earlier this year makes it even more incredible. I need an outlet in Holland.

Errr, I'm also trying to buy 964 RS and 993 RS for myself and H&S, so anyone thinking of selling their's should send me an email.

If you're ever in the area Tat it'd be good to meet up and I can take a look at your car from Holland. Cheers Paul.

Here is a scoop: 964 RS values are SOARING [:D][:D] Seriously, I thought that the EU was meant to prevent inflation (not bureaucracy) to go out of control! [:D][:D]

964RS Values will soar as this one-off perfect 911 gets a wider fan club everyday I predicted they would reach parity with the lesser Mk1 GT3..this is now happening expensive cars of Malton just sold a LHD Lightweight for abput 37K Clubsports should now be circa 40K for good ones.....there is no reason why they should not reach 2.7RS values......

HIJBB I know of an alleged factory (to be confirmed) 3.8 wide body with uprated 3.6 engine 964RS ClubSport in yellow 50k kilometres apparently nice car....this was allegedly a special order car awaiting chassis numbers etc price would be about circa £40k I think............

Hi Johannes, one of the advantages of LHD is that if you find a a reasonably late production number a lot of them had the Long range 92 litre tank, great for long European journeys!
Good luck in your hunt
Jeff

92 litres at 140 km/h would probably give you over 500 miles ! No body has a bladder that large ? My 72 litre tank gave me over 400 miles between stops coming back from Spain. I'd rather have more luggage room ta

Cheers

Amazing that really. I too get over 400 miles out of a 73 litre tank on a long trip. i.e. to the 'Ring. However once there 6 laps of the 'Ring per 72 litre tank.

Des whats this car you've heard of and where did you hear about it? It's funny but I've got a Yellow wide body 964 Cup tucked up in my garage. I was planning to get a bit of work done before bringing it out. It sounds similar to the car you've just described.

I wrote in Porsche Post some time ago about the fantastic MPG of the 964RS lightweight giving normal driving I got 40MPG plus on a very gentle run to you York show years ago...........[:)]

Des,
Was that the Mint Green one? It was in Specialists' stock for months! I guess they all sell eventually.

I've just bought a stunning Flower Yellow car for stock. Owner described it as a really fantastic car and I couldn't have agreed more. It's still got a full OPC history to go with it.

I've also got a fairly special wide body 964 Cup based car that I've not decided what to do with. I bought it on a personal basis outside my business and wondered if this might be the car Des mentioned earlier in this thread. Des....?

Is there anyone in the world NOT jealous of Mr Mclean?[;)]

It is. I had a look at it last May, when it first came back from Spain. It looks much nicer now!

Hi All

Someone once said that the worst thing you can do with a 964 RS ...is sell it !!

I've been lucky to have owned two RS's however, unfortunately its that time again.
I regretted selling the first one and know the same will happen again....aaargh

So, anyone interested in a LHD well sorted original example please get in touch.

Cheers
Chris

Chris - we need more details! Why don't you start a new thread on it with details and pics?

Good luck with the sale

tell me about it.................a few people looking post the details on this forum...

Are 964 RS prices really soaring or is it just hype? There are at least two cars for sale at the moment for between £25 and £28k and they dont look like knackers.

Cheers
