Cayman Register Members on this Forum?

I have just sent a Mailchimp circular to all members and so those who don't use the forum nor read PP in detail should shortly be hearing of the event, I will email the IWM to see if it is possible to have a parking area but as I can give no estimate of numbers expected after all the weather can make quite a difference to attendances but if members try to arrive at approximately 11am on 8th June, maybe we can mostly park together.

Hoping to see many of you there!

The Cayman register is now one of the larger registers in our club with over 750 members up from 220 when I took it on over four and a half years ago, it is also one of the most active on the forum and the Duxford get together next month while not being an official club meeting will give us an opportunity to meet up, see each other's cars and to see the viability of such register get togethers. I'm now thinking of another to be at the Leeds Armoury later in the year which will suit for many keen members in the north but first I'll see how things go at Duxford.

As a newly joined member in the Leeds area this sounds like a good idea to me - I'll also look out for the Duxford links as I quite fancy a nosey around the museum and this sounds like a decent excuse.

Recently taken delivery of a 2014 981 Carmine red GTS to replace my 2010 987.2 Aqua Blue S. It's awesome [:)]

Haven't been to any R7 meets yet (just missed one last night at the OPC) but hopefully will get to get out on a few club meets.

Got the one sent out in march but not this one - maybe that doesn't always work, like the search tool!

Never mind, will try and attend Duxford.

Have started to look at the forum regularly, will try and contribute more, if there's 750 register members must be a heap of good info out there!

Hi Jeff, just joined a few weeks ago (re membership and car wise!), live in Dorset, not attended any meetings yet

Welcome to all new members posting here. We look forward to hearing from you all in the future.

Enjoy your cars and make the most of your Club membership.

Jeff

It's quite obvious that there is a delay in the Mailchimp circulations, it didn't get sent out until I thought I'd done something wrong and so resent it but they go to club office and are then edited, evident since at least one point was removed just as the PP entries are edited sometimes due to the time between writing and the print date to keep things up to date but in this case it was inconsequential as far as those attending are concerned.

Since I received the mail chimp I take it that all on the mailing list have received it as there has been a good direct response sent to my club email, some of you have my personal email since I have responded directly from phone or whatever either now or at some time in the past.

Looking forward to the day.

Can I just remind everyone that it's very useful if you include a bit of information about your location and Club Region and maybe your car details in your Profile.

Click on My Profile, scroll down to Forum details, click on EDIT and include the information in Signature.

Can the `signature` be automatically attached for each `post`, or am I missing something ?
Andrew,

You can only add your signature when posting/replying having selected 'open full version'.

Andrew.

Thank you Andrew.

Also ... select Reply in the previous post - takes you directly to the Open Full Version.

Thanks Jeff and Ralph. I'm just using the 'Quick Reply' panel beneath your post to test that, however as I write there is no indication that my signature will be attached if I look at the preview.

If I click 'Reply' in the blue panel to the right of your post it automatically opens the 'Full Version' but I then have to tick the 'attach signature' box despite my forum options being set to always include my signature. I reported this sometime ago in another thread.

(I'm using Windows 10 and Firefox, if that's relevant).

..... I reported this sometime ago in another thread....

Here is the thread in which the signature problem was discussed and not resolved 'Adding a signature to a post' [link=https://www.porscheclubgb.com/forum/tm.aspx?m=915036#916845]https://www.porscheclubgb.com/forum/tm.aspx?m=915036#916845[/link].

Maybe a moderator could tidy up this current thread and move the signature related posts to the 'Adding a signature to a post' so as not to take this 'Cayman Register Members on this Forum?' off on a tangent?

Andrew.

If you just type a response into the quick reply box below and do not click on Reply, is the same?

I'm doing just that here Ralph, and no signature it attached and no option to attach one.

Should this discussion be continued on the 'Adding a signature to a post' [link=https://www.porscheclubgb.com/forum/tm.aspx?m=915036#916845]https://www.porscheclubgb.com/forum/tm.aspx?m=915036#916845[/link] thread?

Andrew.

All very strange chaps.

Like Ralph, I'm just using the Quick Reply here and it attaches the signature.

Maybe it's something to do with the fact that Ralph and I are long-term posters, before the site was updated. However, I think I had to re-input my details after the update.

Another puzzle to be solved by Admin I think.

Jeff
