Cayman Register Members on this Forum?

HI All

Just joined up, just put a deposit down on a 2015/65 Carmine Red Cayman S with a lot of kit on it! I'm wondering if the car had previously been on here (Plate coming off it is GGxx FAB which is a private plate) its just come in at Porsche Solihull, Porsche Towcester are handling it for me. Towcester sent me on a free Porsche Experience day last month in a 718 Cayman S with ceramic brakes which was fun.

Previously spent 11 years as a SEAT Owner and admin of Leon Owners Club, previous outgoing car is a 420ps Leon Cupra. I also own a MK2 Golf GTI (With TDI conversion) and a Kawasaki ER6-N.

I'm R10 region in Milton Keynes.

Hi Andrew,

Welcome to Cayman ownership, the Club and forum.

Can't help with the car's provenance I'm afraid but look forward to catching up with you at a future R10 meeting.

Jeff

Hi Andrew,

Welcome, hope you enjoy your car and hope to see you at an R10 event soon. I'm a Cayman owner from Buckingham. Met up with a few other Cayman guys at the Super Sausage on Sunday, always up for a drive out and breakfast.

Cheers

Gary

Hi All,

Not sure whether I have actually registered with the Cayman register, although I had introduced myself as the chuffed owner of a GTS in Sapphire Blue last November.

I'm a member of Region 6 (North Wales) and have been since 2006 when I purchased a beautiful polar silver 964 C2.

I would hope to meet up with you folks at some point, for drive coffee and natta or perhaps on a road trip may be [;)]

Hi Paul,

You should PM Buddy (Kevan Sutherns) the Cayman Register Secretary or email him at cayman@porscheclubgb.com . He'll be able to confirm whether or not you're on the Register.

Maybe if you include your CGTS in My Profile you'll automatically be registered?

When I first signed up I added Cayman register and region R10 to my profile. When my membership pack arrived it contained stickers for Cayman register and R10.

I was not sure how it worked. Added it to my application and online but no register sticker in my welcome pack just club and r11....

Hi Jeff,

Just checked my profile and I have my cars both listed. Plus under the header 'Register' I have listed Region 6 and Cayman. So I assume I'm registered with the Cayman Register!

Based on how this works for the Modified Register, the Club holds and distributes Region stickers and the Registers hold the Register stickers which are distributed to members who register (via the Register Secretary).

You need to reach out to the Register Secretary either by [link=https://www.porscheclubgb.com/forum/pmsend.aspx?toMemID=1548]PM[/link] or email to cayman@porscheclubgb.com

Ralph

I called the club office to ask for a new PCGB sticker which they sent to me along with a R17 and Cayman Register stickers.

Nice one. I'm talking to them about something else so will drop that in.

Thanks

Thanks Ralph

In that case I will email Kevan (Register Secretary). [;)]

Hi everyone, new to Porsche club GB. My name is Will and I have a 987.2 2011 Cayman s. I live in north Kent/south London so am hoping to get involved on some days out etc. Never been a member of a club before but would love to have a meet up/drive out with others. First Porsche for me as well and it would appear I’m quite fortunate that my car has quite a few toys...is there a place I could add my cars details to? I think the secretary has added me to the registar... cheers!

Welcome Will, you've made a great choice of car!

You can add details of your car to your forum signature, go to [link=https://www.porscheclubgb.com/my-account]My Profile[/link] then scroll down to Forum details.

You're in the right part of the country to attend the Porsche Festival at Brands Hatch this Sunday 2nd Sept. [link]https://brandshatch.msv.com/BH-18-Porsche[/link]

Edited to add: you can only select the 'attach my signature' option if you click 'Open Full Version' rather than 'Quick Reply'.

Member since December last year but for various reasons only been able to attend one club meeting so far (R24). Hope to attend more meetings and club events in the future. Evening club events a bit of a problem, shame they are not Sunday afternoons.

Hi Chris,

R10 meet at the Sharnbrook Hotel, Saturday 12:00 if that would help.

Cheers

Gary

Hello Gary

That‘s very interesting, thanks. As it happens I have booked for the R10 rally on 30th June so hopefully I will have a chance to meet some R10 club members then. Saturdays would certainly be a better option for me and the Sharnbrook is not that much further than the R24 meets. I’ll have to give it some thought.

Chris
