Curborough 3 - Annual 964 register/Rennlist day

still trying to work out how Marcus can be old enough to have Greg as a son-in-law
I think Greg is still hoping, but the jury's out. A diet of Peroni, kettle chips and Autosport magazine it what keeps me looking young... Great pics - envious. Would like to think I would have tanked it enough to get near the top half of the timesheet though - maybe over the grass a bit, and I would have definitely taken out one of those mutton jobs..

At one stage I thought we'd gone to the Royal Show by accident.....Gary had a go at herding the sheep and then Vic tried to plow up the mole hill on the chicane [:D]

Totally agree...you'll have to join us next year if you can and show us how it's done [:)]
Now that's a plan [;)] It would have helped if my ABS had been working [>:] [:D] To be honest, it was an utterly great day. The standard of driving and competition was inspiring, some amazing performances from very humble machinery, and no breakages or other damage. Even the weather behaved. Thanks Steve.

I think I'll bring my crook and learn to whistle for next time :)

I popped video spycam on to Oldtimer's dash while he wasn't looking...here's the video [:D] http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lt4xm7A6MUg

Somebody had to!! [:D] BTW, that mole hill used to be a mountain.....[;)] Thanx for invite Steve, I'll bring the dogs to round up the sheep...

ORIGINAL: VITESSE Steve,I presume you mean how to spin coming out of the top hairpin.[:D][:D]
Did John spin? He didn't tell me that! [:-] I can only remember Vic spinning/plowing....who else did I miss? [:D]

Steve, I was referring to your reply to Melv below-note his response-also picked up in the report in PP this month re' the Curporough Sprint meeting.

Ha! Missed that the first time Colin [:D] at least he had slippery and wet as an excuse.....none of our spinners can blame the dry! [:D]

Greg, I'll have you know that the e-bay car (defined as humble,I think?) competed without the benefit of modern gismos like ABS,power steering,KW3 suspensions or 4 wheel drive,-but did have a driver who has trained himself to left foot brake (you wouldn't have noticed!) as a result of driving a Steptronic BMW 530D Touring-also a total deficiency of wine gums.[&o]

ORIGINAL: gregmarshall There was quite a few cars out with ABS issues here and there...
Who needs ABS, as I informed, its over rated..........still it made me smile, and I don't think I quite took the honours of longest skid/tyre smoke........I'll leave that to Chris. Kevin

I think people are distracted from your age by your height. I would have been accused of fiddling the timesheet if you were up the top of the list :)

The 944 S2 had a great time - I was along for the ride and just hung on for dear life. [:D] On reflection - it would have performed better on road pads instead of race pads. The gearing was just a little tall to change to 3rd on the twisty bits hence the limiter kicking in. [8|]
