Steve you could fit a standard 993 intake with centre plenum, companies, fvd etc out there who will do a exchange cup size throttle body, you would then need a modified ecu or motec.
Fairly sure jenvey do a cast alloy version of the plastic 3 bolt flange that could be sculptured to match your inlet ports, but would need insulating with some 5mm thick ptfe gaskets.
But then again standard is good!

Thanks Paul, Jenvey sounds good then as you say I could open the inside up to match the oversized head inlet ports, would the standard 993 rs gasket not suit?

Not realy,as you will still get to much heat sock from the heads to the inlet manifold, need to be as cool as possible.
Its not a problem to buy a small sheet of 5mm or so ptfe and cut them out.I made my own, colin at 9m may even have some.

Cheers Paul, also had a look on the jenvey website but could not find the six individual inlet manifolds, they need to 3 bolt flange on the head side with the tube on the top to install the VR sealing rings & clamp assembly, will give them a ring as may not show on the website.

Great pics of the job Steve [:)]. If I'm not mistaken that's Danny's engine room? If so, he rebuilt my 964 engine last year. Nothing special in terms of upgrade, just a total re-fresh. It took a couple of thousand miles to loosen up but boy is it good now. Couldn't be more pleased with the job he did.

Well spotted steve, when the work is done in a couple of weeks, I will post some shots of the completed jobs.

Look forward to seeing them Steve...I might even pop in to see the guys and have a gander at it while it's in there. [:)] Here's the pics and story of when they did mine:

Paul had some success at Jenvey, they are going to CNC manufacture the 6 individual inlet manifolds to the porsche spec, then machine the internal bore to 48mm which matches the head ports,
and the fuel injector housing so its looking good, the height of the inlet manifold will be reduced to compensate the ptft gaskets making the VR the same height, thanks for the info.

well done, jenvey have been helpfull in the past.
You will also find the rubbers will fit better, and will not crush out of shape.May be get them anodised black for the original effect.

Hi Paul, well all the tin ware and fan with housing is back from the powder coating company as is all the lovely re plated nuts and bolts, engine mount bolts, pulleys etc, the varioram is back together following complete dismantle and sand blasting, all the parts have arrived,
there were a few issues on the varioram such as the resonance flap actuator had a small spacer and o ring missing, and quite a few of the sealing rings were split over the inlet manifolds due to jubilee clips being overtightened, full set of spark plug leads needed,
The jenvey alloy inlet manifolds proved to be too expensive in the end ( tripled in price when they got the sample ) so got 6 new manifolds from Porsche which are bigger in diameter than standard 993, so its progressing, I have a few photos I will post for you.

Solid Engine Mounts blasted and bolts & washers plated, the 2 mounting bolts are only temporary till the originals are plated, ( forgot to send originally)
