tips on stopping the water spilling from my vase of flowers would be helpful. its ruining the wilton carpets.[;)][:D][:D]

wheels are easy to change so when it come to selling (which i have no plans to do) then if they put people off i'll just put on something else.

Nice wheels - I like them! But then I've just bought a boxster, so what do I know ;-)

PS - no jokes about Helen's curtains please! [:D]

And what's a "King Lead"?
Or is it a contraction ? ("we had to change the 'king lead as well")

I think that was a cross-post and Helen meant the RMS in the Boxster as a regular service item [:D][:D][:D][:D][:D][:D]

Interesting that they've gone to that level but not replaced the water pump as well as a precaution while they were in there. Was it changed recently ?

There must be some things not itemised; there is mention of oversized pistons and rings but no work to the block to suit for example.

Wow - it's basically like new then. Last time I took my car in to Zentrum I saw your engine in peices. At that time he was trying to find someone who could re-apply the coating to the cylinder bore (can't remember what the coating was). Well you deserve many many miles of trouble free motoring for what you've been through.

Nikasil.
I didn't think it could be renewed?

thanks but, its Mike that has done all the fretting and hard work. i know now what a 944S2 should sound like its a wonderful car, can't wait untill its run in and i get to play with it a little more[8D]

I think I need to call Zentrum and find out where they head the lining re-applied as that is what is holding up my engine rebuild at the moment. The Andover place is called Perfect Bore and Jon Mitchell knows and trusts their work, but they are very busy building race engines at this time of year. There is another place in the Midlands that was used by Ben Sideways, but unfortuantely they ruined his engine when something 'slipped', so I don't want to use them.

A new alternative has now reared it's head. A 3 litre block has become available [8D][8D]

I am currently in the back garden burying my credit cards and cheque books [][]
