First track day (PCGB @ Donington Park) completed!

Andrew, I'm not sure I agree with that, I think a few simple steps would encourage more take up (wider audience not just numbers) and that would include.

[ul][*]Having a novice/beginner specific session early in the day.[*]Offering tuition for which the club already does, but also a chance for more experienced drivers to saddle up with novices, this works on several layers, build relationships within the club, and when the track becomes open again and you're up behind 'joe' in front, you now personally know him/her and are more likely to give a bit more space if required.[*]Keep numbers low on track, as said before PCGB track days are not cheap and from what I've seen thus far more expensive than mainstream events, for this I believe the offset should be less numbers on track. To compensate just run more track days! [/ul]Just my thoughts.

Perhaps this would be better if moved (or reposted) to the Club Track Days section of the forum to get views from a more representative model owner cohort, rather than just a few Cayman members.

Ryan ...

A PCGB or any other track day will not suit your wife, suggest that you research a circuit / venue that has conducts `tuition` sessions ... whereby there are fewer cars on track and `one` is accompanied by an instructor

EDIT ... alias Carl [;)] :p

Or just hire an instructor for the day, Gary Marsh is very good

I disagree with moving the thread. The purpose of my original post was to share my experience with other Cayman owners that have read my previous posts or spoken to me on the Zoom calls. So here (and only here) it should stay. I emailed Mandy after Donington with some feedback, so she is aware of my experience that day.

Ryan's views are more general so a fresh post or direct chat with the Motorsport team may be more appropriate I agree.
