The forum needs a urgent up date it's old and not user friendly. It needs Active mods. It needs good walk throughs users need to enjoy spending time and adding content.
Lower the membership fees after all as said you are pushing Facebook and that is a free option. Times have changed but this forum has not.. This forum been said by Mods as a leading forum but if things do not change tell me were it will be in say a year or two years time?
I can not say if it's too late to change things that is down to the owner and the mod team.

As and admin who has been involved with the forum since its concept in 2012 I agree that the current forum certainly does need updating or even replacing. It must be at least 4 – 5 years since it was updated.

One of the bigger issues is that this software we use has been made bespoke for the clubs use over the years and it has been very costly indeed to make it fit for our purpose.

I have been requesting this for some time to at least make the posting of multiple phots so much easier for those that are less so technically minded. I use a third part to host my phots and find it simple to do a post with multiple phots, but that not to say it right in any way by any means.

Yes the forum software is out dated and it will cost a substantial amounts to rebuild or replace it, but it is a club asset for its members and should be kept up to date.

Why not raise your concerns with Mark Hamilton the IT Director itdirector@porscheclubgb.com The more members who dos so may actually make a difference.

Surely if Mark is the forum IT guy he should be at least reading the forum, just my view ??

Maybe the Club can be persuaded to utilise a portion of the hundreds of thousands of pounds of reserves it is currently holding to instigate improvements and enhance this most valuable Club asset.
