Glorious Weather for a Drive

So go on who took the opportunity over the last few days fabulous weather to wheel out their beast for a run down some favorite roads. Or indeed even to work.

I took the beast out today for a short blast with a mate (he has a 3.0 Carerra), found some empty bits of roads and had a hoot

The beast is getting faster[:-] much faster[:-]. The breaks are bedded in nicely and have face removing stopping power and the exhaust is starting to develop some growly character[:D][:D][:D]

It was sunny and dry

What a great day!
 
I did and will do again today![:)] Have a nice hour and a half route along fab winding but good viz roads. Top off with a "launch" and back to cut the grass.....[:(] Memo to self...must get geometry checked on the ride-on - it's all over the place[:D]

Yep - sunshine is a powerful stimulus to get out a proper car and shake out the winter. Did 50 miles over the tops on Wednesday and Thursday - hopefully over to the east coast on Sunday and then to 9M at Warrington on Tuesday next for oils service and alignment check ( and possibly new lower wishbones ).

Life feels better somehow..

A perfect day for a blast around Brands yesterday. 1st time on a circuit in my new baby and just one word 'WOW'. Looks like the weathers going to hold so a perfect excuse for a trip to the Ace tomorrow night.

Alan, you are so fortunate to have such marvellous, traffic free, roads on your doorstep - nice pics too.
 
It's certainly brilliant this time of year before the grokels arrive in their caravans and motor homes![:mad:] Very good for the local economy I'm told - frequently[;)]

I have had Taffy out alot yesterday and today ~ fantastic weather for a top down blast [8D]

I found forward firing rockets helps clear caravans and motor homes from blocking the road[:)]
 
Yes thanks Tom, I thought of having them fitted but was told it would invalidate the warranty.[:D] Can't believe I just used the "W" word again......[;)]
 
I have a couple weeks off now from work. My wife can't take time off so I hope the weather stays fine and I can find some nice roads to drive.

If anyone wants to meet up in the next week or so and go for a spin then let me know!! [:)]

Cool - you are Essex right Tom? Perhaps we could meet in the middle of the country somewhere? I think we need windy roads, sunshine and cameras though so unsure best routes around there.

Sadly; I think Switzerland may be a little too far to get back again within a day. Shame!!

You still Reading direction - I could either come across to you just post the 7am-9am rush - some good roads over that direction by all accounts or we could aim for somewhere like Sussex

Leave the wives/partners at home and head west for a couple of days! Got some great roads and scenery to match. You'd be more than welcome to stay Chez Captain![:)] Looks like the weather may go downhill from Tues till end of the week but hopefully should pick up again from next Fri on. (Blame the Met Office not me if that's wrong!) Same goes for anyone from the Club heading down this way - give me a shout!
 
Managed a few miles of fun over the last few days, The joys of shift work means I'm off when most are at work [:D]

Empty roads, no cameras and the sound of an air cooled motor, what could be better.
