Glorious Weather for a Drive
- Thread starter okellyt
- Start date
Tom, let's see what the weather looks like next week and try to meet up somewhere between us.
The new exhaust is starting to sound very nice when some revs go on it.[]
Its quieter at lower revs than the PSE, just grumbles to itself like Taz or Mutly (I feel a nickname coming), once you open the taps though its a lower pitch noise but much louder - Not quite in Alex's Car Graphic exhaust sound level though, I can still hear.
Any one else get a run out before the forecast weekend rain and snow?
Shock horror - there was almost no traffic???? []
The little traffic there was cropped up just before the few overtaking points on my route - with clear vision, no oncoming traffic a few drivers seemed quite surprised at how many vehicles one could overtake with most of the straight left.
The exhaust is starting to make a very pleasing bark when pressing on.
No stopping points for photo's I am afraid
Any one get any good photo's on a run out today or over the weekend?

Yes, read that today, it looked like a great run out...[8D]
I had a great blast out on Sunday to the AGM... mind you half of it was up the M5 and it was in my van... so obviously the quickest thing on the road []
Sadly spent the rest of the week on the M5 in the same mode of transport.. []

Hey Tom
Looks like I will have Thu off if you want to meet up somewhere? I have a tennis match I need to be back home for about 6pm so can't venture too far.
Any ideas?
Alex
Either over your direction and towards Cotswolds-ish direction or meeting up part way - somewhere like Sussex. Don't know any roads around either area too well. Should look it up on the Web site for best UK driving Roads.
Any one got any good routes in either location they can send us?

I will try to dig up Gary's Cotswolds tour route maps
OK - found the paper copy of the routes for day1 and day2 of the Cotswold tour. I might see if I can combine them into one days worth of driving roads.
Original thread was here:

Gary - what were the roads like on the Cotswold tour day2 compared to day1? I loved the roads on day1 and certainly wouldn't mind doing this route again.
If anyone is joining myself and Tom then we are provisionally planning to leave Gaydon Heritage Center (Jn 12 M40) at 10am tomorrow (Thursday 2nd April)
Please let me know if you are wishing to join and we will make sure we wait for you!!
