Sounds like a similar experience I had with an M3 a few year ago. I let him pass, he thought he'd motor off into the distance but couldn't shake me off his rear bumper (and he was trying), and on hills he was holding me up. He eventually pulled into the inside lane and slowed down and I motor'd off!ORIGINAL: Fat Albert Very Nice! One of the things I love about mine is the looks you get, and the appreciation from strange quaters. I had a Focus RS get all lairy behind me on the A421 on Friday, so I pulled over and let him pass, I then used him as a 'snowplough' to get through the traffic, I think he then realised my performance wasn't far short of his.....I got a nice wave as he pulled off the A1 later

I destroyed a modded Scooby a couple of months back. Let him pass then kept up with him no problem in 5th gear, passed him, let him pass for 10 minutes or so. A long stretch of empty m-way then opened up and I dropped into 4th and floored it. He disappeared into the horizon in seconds! I've not found much that can keep up with a '44 turbo when you stretch it's legs in 4th/5th![ORIGINAL: robwright Really I have taken both a Focus RS and a modified Scooby back to school in the last year!! I bet the Scooby bloke wished he hadn't shown off in front of his girlfriend either []

I travel down to my Office in Bracknell regularly (HP) and sometimes pop up to Microsoft in Reading and probably get more attention down there than oop 'ere!ORIGINAL: sc0tty I dont get many looks in my 944 round here, theres too many brand new beemers, 997s, Cayennes, audis and other rep mobiles. 2 miles from my house is Microsoft HQ and Oracle, and not too much further is Cisco, Dell, HP, Symantec, Logica and Verizon. Oh, and 5 mins up the M4 is Porsche GB, so you could say porsches are common as muck in Reading []

I think I got a bite off Scotty [ORIGINAL: sc0tty No not really mate, most 944 sheds are up in the North of England, due to all the rain, mud tractors and cowsh1t on the road.

Not a model any of us know? We used to spend a lot of time trying to defend late-night red-wine-fuelled obnoxious posts from people who can't see it's polite to only post constructive replies. We've tried putting people on moderation, where they have to have every post approved. It takes masses of time to administer, and the people we put on moderation apologised and promised to change their attitude. Sadly, the moderators and admin here don't have infinite patience, so we'd rather some people just left the forum and took their bad attitudes with them. [:'(] If there were any people on the 944 forum who had been warned so many times, yet still drifted back in to constantly abusive posts, they would, of course, appreciate that there would be no final warning? They would expect to find their account cancelled with no further appeal. Sorry, but you've made a huge effort to lose any friends you had here, and only you can step back and try to make yourself a welcome member of the Forum, or the Club.Of course you could just be bitter for owning a lowly 994 S?, the model that never sold much when new, and is even less popular now
