Geez!

Silverstone asking just short of £90k for a 7/21 BGTS 4.0 PDK.

Really interesting to see the large difference in price between what OPCs are asking for PDK cars vs Manuals.

I think that they are chancing it when there is a slightly younger PDK car with less miles for £10k less at Bolton. Lower spec maybe, but ten grand less unless things really are much cheaper up north?

Agree, although the Bolton one is a poor spec and I am not sure I could live with that interior colour with a Crayon exterior. It would probably be okay on a darker car.

Just received my invite to the Silverstone Porsche driving experience to drive one of their BGTS 4.0s. I have to finalise the dates but really looking forward to this given everything I have heard.

I was there on Tuesday for my session and it was hugely impressive.

I drove a very well spec'd 4.0l on all of the tracks they have there which was great fun and I really got to grips with the car over the 3 or so hours I had in the vehicle. The instructor I had was excellent and as he took me through the experience, you get to see some of what these amazing cars are capable of.

You'll have a great time !

PS., as I had a morning session, I didn't want to risk the traffic so I stayed at the Hilton Garden hotel the night before. It's next to the facility and on the Silverstone circuit - I'd recommend it.

👍I had just booked that hotel when your message came through. 18th July just confirmed.

Very nice Paul. Gentian and silver wheels are a great combo. You'll find it will get better with age. The exhaust becomes much deeper and when you finally get to push it past 4000rpm............. Well I'll save that bit for you to find out.

Get some Zunsport grilles on as soon as possible. The large openings for the rads are just asking for trouble.

I wish you well in it.

Dan

Looks stunning Paul.

Many years of enjoyment I am sure. Definitely get some Zunsports on to protect the rads. They also enhance the front end IMHO.

Thanks all - just ordered a set of grilles and the discount code was very useful [:D] Also ordered a new CTEK charger to replace my ancient Accumate that isn't up to the job (it was used for my previous toys that had much smaller batteries).

Was very busy in the dealership as they had received a transporter full of cars and you can imagine everyone wanted delivery ASAP.

Thought fitting Zunsport Grills voided your warranty ? I heard some dealers are ok others not or do you just remove them if going in for service or warranty work. car looks nice by the way enjoy.

They also score your bores and blow seals according to a guy down the pub 😉

Seriously though, all dealers I have been to are fine with them, passes 111 point checks and extended the warranty with them on.

My dealer has always been fine with them on my 981. One would hope they would give you the 5 minutes to unclip them if they had any concerns that it could impact any warranty claim.

It is bizarre that Speedsters and some other models come fitted with grills but not GTS or other Boxsters.

It has gone within days, understandably really high demand for these in PDK spec.
