Ideas for a run out?

Hi Alan
Late decision but it looks as though I'm up for it. Planning on joining at Corwen if that's Ok. Any idea of an approximate time for there
Regards Ian

No problem Ian, we'll look out for you, not sure of the ETA at Corwen [&:] but we are leaving J14 M56 @ 9.30. My mobile is 07979 868459. I didnt get the 911 out today for a pre-run because I was stuck mad busy at work and then it bl**dy rained []. So may have to go in the MINI worst-case, sorry everyone... I have to consider what the salt/rain combination will do to my (currently) rust free (but) pre-galvanised body [:(], unless someone sells me a 924 tonight!
See you all tomorrow!

Hi Alan
Via Michelin gives an hour from Helsby so I guess 10.30ish. I will try and be there about 10.00 My mobile is 07966 350072

Spoke with a fellow Club member today at Oulton who went for Sunday morning run out - same route as planned - a couple of weeks ago. BE WARNED a significant number of mobile cameras dotted around the area, even at 9.30 on a Sunday morning. As stated before - probably targetting bikers, but anyone will do! Porsches, Minis - Pugs, Golfs etc etc. The dosh is all the same!

Will be at the Romper 8.30. Bringing along a work colleague who has just got a 911sc if that is ok. May come back a bit earlier depending on how much salt and muck the car picks up so i can get back and clean her off. Looking forward to it.[:)]

The residents in Pentrefoelas have beem given laser gatsos by Herr Brunstrom cos they are sick of people speeding through the village.

The routes north from both Pentrefoelas and Cerrygidudion are watched by police helicopter - hence the larger than normal road markings for them to time you against.

Weather looks awesome (-1.5 this morning though), forecast good, car T didnt want to start, almost gave up, then fired to life, just setting off now, see you all in a bit!

Great run out. Thanks for organising it

I'll second that - thanks for your time Alan. Pity i couldn't carry on with you all to Portmeirion but had a real hoon on the Evo triangle on the way home.

A few pics from today...

I'll second (or third that)! Thanks Alan, had a nice run back myself from Betswy (?). Car very white waist down - nothing a good power washing didn't sort out. Even made it back for lunch!
Thanks
Graham

Nice one Alan. Get ya map ready for the next one. Had a great day, buzzed all the way home. Have washed the car already, cant believe the amount of dirt / salt she picks up.

PS. Great pics Black80XSA

Cheers

Had a great day out. Fantastic run back over the tops. Took me two hours to clean the car when i got back covered in salt [:( . Nice to meet you guys. Dan.

Glad everyone seemed to enjoy it & thatnks for yr comments. I was a bit nervous heading everyone out, not even being sure of my own directions, but it worked OK eh, so thanks for bearing with me! Bit disappointed almost everyone left PM before 1.40 [:(], but mother's day and all that probably. For me the best part was the drive from Betws down to Portmeirion - awesome, struggled to keep Roy in sight though [:D]. Of course, the amazing weather helped too. Great to meet everyone as well. I have a few pics which I'll post tonight.

Thanks Alan for arranging a brilliant day....

I'll mention how good it was in my monthly report.

Do you fancy doing an article for the post?

Nic

Will post pictures as soon as I can

Sure thing Nicola; does anyone have pics from Portmeirion village?
I have some pics to post but keep getting the 'There was an error saving the file to disk' error. Images are under 200K, so what do you think the problem is?[&:]
