Best I got on the 968 was with Admiral via confused.com. Came in around 400 quid, unlimited mileage, 2 named drivers, social domestic, commuting, parked on drive. Oddly just got my renewal through on the S2 and its not that much more for a road legal race car (competition car insurance) including fully comp track day cover etc. I used to think that modified cars cost a lot more to insure but I guess once you are well into your 30s and have a history with these cars it doesn't seem to make much difference.

Just got my renewal from Kwik Fit of all people £362 fully comp, legal, breakdown, hire car for 10K miles a year. Only car daily driver kept on the drive.

I just gave them a try, since you seemed to get a decent deal. They quoted me £3,500+.

Er "¦ no thanks.

you don't say how old you are or perosnal details, but don't forget that if you are using regular insurance companies they simply see another group 18 car which is why it will be the same.

As a guide, I'm with Chaucer on a classic policy, 8k a year SD&P garaged no no claims to use £297 for the year Fully Comp.

Its a very basic policy bought through sureterm, but it works for me

Still seems a little expensive considering my policy is unlimited mileage, only car, kept on street in London, agreed value and fully comp for £364. Classic line say they just dont have claims from 944 owners in London, lets just hope it stays that way...

I'm with Classic Line too. Free 'guaranteed value' (just sent some photos) and 5K miles per year.

Locktons if you are a club member, Hegarty are great, Classic Line are good and sometime just good old Aviva, I used them before moving to Locktons.

I think I paid about 120 with Aiva last time for 3000 miles.

My insurance is also due and the best deal I could find is with my existing agent richard hoskins
based in brentwood essex

Aviva worked for me insuring my 3rd car, especially when Admiral wouldn't add my 944T to the multi-car policy.

+1 for the other recommendations. What I would add is it's worth considering an agreed value policy if you're attached to the car. Club valuations are free whereas insurers will charge you.

Locktons for me as they accept agreed valuation even though the cars not garaged overnight. Also H.R. Is worth a call.

Club valuations are free
That's a great service too. On my policy it cost nothing extra (sometimes it is a tenner or so) to have an agreed valuation and it saves them writing your car off in the event of a minor bump viz their microsocopic "market value" pricing.

thanks guys i now have a good point to srart from,,,footman james wanted 320 for 3000 mile per year and wanted it locked in the garage from 10.00 at night till 06.00 in the morning

Id expect to pay half of that for 3,000PA in a Turbo.

As well as the other good suggestions, try Classicline.

I also found Admiral multicar very competitive, £220 5000miles Boxster S, but no agreed valuation.

Deal done hegarty 170 £ with 5 points .pleased with that thanks to all for the help.now to have some fu
