breakdown cover- you can only increase the mileage to 6000 though for a small add on premium.
Cheers Ron
Ps V.O.G.
No additional costs for the proposed roll cage, bucket seats, racing harnesses and coil-over suspension upgrades either! What a result - without this forum I wasn't even aware of Hagerty's existance!

Given your budget I guess this might be a 2nd car or limited mileage policy, so the above probably wouldn't be of much use...
However today I reinsured the 944S through Aon to make it my primary car as I'd used up most of my mileage allowance in 6 months (which has been a pain as I've been put off going to a lot of events because of it). Their service has been very good so far and I can recommend them.
Can't say I'm looking forward to reinsuring the white car when it's due in March, it's currently with HIC but I've had two ludicrously over the top quotes from them recently so I think I'll need to go elsewhere and getting quotes when you have lots of mods is very boring []

Regardless of who you insure with get an agreed value policy!
Just joined this thead to echo the above!
I know I'm banging on here, but the Club do free insurance-approved valuations, and you should get a discount on the premium. That alone pays the flippin' subscription each year, let alone everything else you get. [&:]
Just to warn you, I've had a case today of a guy who joined the Club 18 months ago, got a valuation, and an agreed value, and didn't renew. His car was hit, and the insurers are offering a far lower value as it doesn't have a current valuation from an approved Club, and he isn't a member of a Club to get a current approved valuation! Of course he's asked me to help, and I will do what I can, but it's understandable that insurers are dramatically down-valuing cars and are looking for any excuse to avoid paying any more than necessary. You've been warned....get an agreed value from somewhere, or don't complain if you are unlucky enough to need a payout.

An insurer I spoke to recently said tough luck, you lose those miles out of your allowance even though you're unisured during them.
Whilst I realise it would be difficult to prevent abuse, I'd have thought it would be possible to declare track miles if documented carefully. Is this the same with all limited mileage policies or are some more flexible?

Paul, does this mean we should all get a club valuation every year? Or is it more important to stay a member of the club and then do it, say, every two years?
Happily, I renewed my membership yesterday.
