Looking for a car...

Don't, ever, think of taking them out ! IMHO again!

P.S. One of my fire extinguishers has been used !!

The signatures are on the roof and there's only one I can identify... but it's a good one.

I will probably take the extinguishers out too. Like life jackets on plane I'd be amazed if a handheld fire extinguisher saved anyone, anywhere, ever.

I can see Walter Rohl! Cool. Did he drive it?

If any of you have the April 2003 edition of Porsche & 911 world to hand, he signal green car is for sale in the classifieds......described as a 964 RSR, Viper green M003 with 10,937km....up for £39,995 from a private collection in London.

In the same issue Autoclassica have a Minty (colour) CS with 46 clicks up for £38,995 !

Guy advertising the car back in 2003 was a chap named Alistair, he wouldnt actually sell it for £40k or even £45k...he said it would depend on his Bonus that year....nothing ever happened and then years later it ended up with Mr Primrose for a little while until being advertised at Gmundcars and Sold. Alistair chap also had a really low mileage Maritime Blue RSL in that Ad if I remember correctly.

The Autoclassica Minty is the car Stu now owns.

Looks like the RSL from that collection is now for sale http://www.pistonheads.com/SALES/558526.htm Low mileage, same owner since 2000 & the guy who is selling it is called Alistair...too many similair things to be a coincidence!?

Looks like a minter ..... £65,000 hmmm what is that cage about?

I thought the same: a beautiful basic RS..... but it doesn't look like a standard Matter or Heigo roll cage?

Are they harness mounts at the back (eye bolts)? Useful for not tracking the car. No seriously, thats a very nice car.

Saw a maritime NGT this evening, J822 ***, coming off the A3 towards Esher. It's not Matt or ChrisW - is this you Ian?

That was me on the maiden outing! Waited 'til the traffic went down and went for a quick test drive down the A3 and back. Came off and straight back on.

All I can say is even after the GT3 it's intense - hardly dared get above about 5000rpm as it sounds like I'm about to get sucked into the engine. Couldn't use the brakes or handling in anger but it feels good so far.

Lot's off arsing about today though - the DVLA decided on Tuesday that they wanted to inspect the car - since it's not even German registered that meant trailering it to Wimbledon which was slightly annoying. Had to sort out an MPH speedo as they check that now. In fairness the DVLA were very good they squeezed me in today (so I can go to Bedford tomorrow) and got the plating certificate there and then.

Off to Bedford tomorrow evening.

Will report in.

So what do we have to do to get all three maritime NGT's and a certain Cup lined up together ?

We could set up our own series !!

Silverstone Classic2008/PDF Days 2009..... Maritime very common now[;)] Here is a pic of a 964RS with a 993 Front!
