Car was displayed at Techno Classica Essen and was for sale there also. Very clean machine, I´m a bit worried if it has been driven enough in its recent life to avoid damages? Looks like a static display car for collectors.

P.S. No visible Frogs in Essen
If any of you have the April 2003 edition of Porsche & 911 world to hand, he signal green car is for sale in the classifieds......described as a 964 RSR, Viper green M003 with 10,937km....up for £39,995 from a private collection in London.
In the same issue Autoclassica have a Minty (colour) CS with 46 clicks up for £38,995 !
Interesting how the prices have only recently gone crazy and secondly how the signal green car has only managed 3km in 5 years...is that a good thing? []

We live in inflationary times - wine and oil have both quadrupled since 2003: 964s are looking cheap.ORIGINAL: clubsport

I think a lot of cars have had a fair bit spent on them --- and we are now 5 years on.
My personal view on mileage is that undriven cars are simply unreliable.
2000 miles a year is in my personal view a good starting point and driven at least once every couple of weeks seems to keep clutches smooth, discs and brakes free of corrosion, suspension supple, heater and starter motors spinning and bores oiled. The optimiser on the battery just gets it going !
And which of us would not enjoy every second of doing at least this mileage ?
Des --- how could you forget me ? Maritime Blue CS --- Simon's old car --- common as muck these maritime CS' !
And finally, the only other Maritime CS I saw for sale was one in Hertfordshire, looked after by JZM and advertised in the Sunday Times almost a year ago.
Other than the car advertised by Thomas Schmitz which seem to have been arriving for ages --- not used in something like the last 11 years ? Will be given a full service prior to delivery ? But still looks a very interesting car.
As an aside, the Kermit car is not on Thomas' web site, but is on Mobile.de as being sold by him ?

Guy advertising the car back in 2003 was a chap named Alistair, he wouldnt actually sell it for £40k or even £45k...he said it would depend on his Bonus that year....nothing ever happened and then years later it ended up with Mr Primrose for a little while until being advertised at Gmundcars and Sold. Alistair chap also had a really low mileage Maritime Blue RSL in that Ad if I remember correctly.
The Autoclassica Minty is the car Stu now owns.

Read my mind Des. Off topic - Why is he selling? Should I jump ship Des from my lightweight to Neils car?
To answer your question YES YES YES ... if you can put up with more noise, more involvement, more focussed track handling, more ear ache, not much fun on the road then YES ... the lighweight is a better overall package for "use" but once you get the N-GT on the smooth black stuff it all makes a lot of sense ... it is a true factory FiA Race Car built by Porsche from the ground up ... if you can live with it buy it ..... the car is modified 6 speed box etc but to me nice spec give Paul a call get your credit card out and grasp your *****[]
Des, Paul and I had loads of fun on Sunday comparing the CS, RHD Lightweight and a '96 GT3RS.
I believe we came to the concusion that, in terms of feel, the RHD '64RS Lightweight and '96GT3RS were amazingly similar --- astonishing only that they are 15 years apart. That from both the drivers and the passenger seats !
The '64 is sensory overload by comparison, simply magnificent. The only nuisance as an every day driver is the full harness and the slightly more challenging full cage arrangement. But to not drive them --- surely that's like buying a bottle of vintage champagne for the shape of the bottle ?

Having 4 businesses all involved in mortgages the credit crunch has had a massice effect on us.
The way things are going I may have to put the RS up for sale too soon[&o] Its not that I can't afford to keep it more that I can't afford to keep it and do as many track days and as the president of the AGQA (Anti-Garage Queen Alliance) may take the money and buy a very cheap 911 and strip it out for track and keep doing the days. Plus the RSR gets here on the 5th June[]
No idea how much its worth tbh but I bet there are not many 964RS that have had £40k spent on them in last few 1,000 miles!!!!!!!!!!
If you hear of any completely serious non timewasters I'd have a chat but please warn them I often change my mind when it comes to actually doing the deed[&o]

Your car looked great this morning. It was on the truck when mine was being collected to head back to Germany.
Enjoy it!
Jon
