Midnight Blue RS

Ferry Man

New member
Hi there.
I'd like to introduce myself and indeed my car.
I've been fortunate to recently acquire an RS and I'm keen to try and contribute a little to this forum and maybe join some of you guys on a track day or two.

I'd also like to thank Vic Cohen and Nick Moss for their guidance and advice whilst I considered this car.
I'm delighted with it. I've not got too many miles under my belt yet but I'm already begining to realise just why these cars are so highly regarded.
I'm certain this car is a good 'un and with your help I can keep it tip top and yet use it to it's fullest advantage.

Paul.

I have seen the car and it is in fabulous condition, low miles and a full OPC history. It has a good spec too: no airbags, a/c, harnesses. Nice one Paul.

Paul its far too good for u and i think u shud give it to me as a Taxi .................beutiful example , most useable rs of the sure u ' llget lots of fun from it ........................

Have always been a fan of the RS with the larger CS spoilers but for some reason that looks so pure and simple and just brilliant - If the car is as goo din teh flesh as the photo then you are one very lucky man, enjoy

Paul, congratulations on finding such a good RS; looks like a real keeper and hope you enjoy it as much as your S. Tricky decisons ahead... like which one to take out of the garage and..shall I get Nick to put the steering wheel on the correct side? [:D] Look forward to seeing it.

Well Nigel, I drove the 2.4S today after a week or so in the 993 RS and I thought it would be an anti-climax. Not a bit of it. That S is wonderful. Mind you I know which I'd prefer on a track....

Of course - we know that the captain always sits in the left hand seat. [:D]

Oh, Good Lord, not on this forum too. I get enough of that on DDK thanks. [] [;)] I prefer my cars compromised. [:)]

Paul the car looks stunning in the pictures, please tell me is was a lot of money as my recently purchased lhd is nowhere near as nice (at the moment) and your spec is great. Very nice car!!! Scott R

Paul, better than great. And RHD is the way for people with small feet ;-) Only somebody who has driven both RHD and LHD will understand, but my LHD 964RS fits me to a T. Was that the car at Hendon Way Motors ? If so, I thought they would never sell it ... and well done you !!

No, no, no. That's still there and probably will be forever. This one has had a few previous owners you may recognise, such as Chris Harris the journalist and a certain Paul Howells. The current custodian plans to keep it for a very long time. [:)]

Know somebody that went to see the Hendon Way car a few weeks ago and was told it was sold, he also thought it needed a good days detailing, (thought it had CS larger spoilers?) Scott R

ORIGINAL: paul howells looks as nice as when i had it.
Thank you Paul. It's been well looked after by the previous owners. I was delighted to see your name in the log book, it helped reinforce the fact that it was a good one.
Thrash the ass off it like i did !!
You did what! [;)]

Congratulations, a very nice example.......Paul I wasn't sure if it was your old one, didn't Johnny C have one in the same colour?...you both seem to end up with similar cars! [:D]

It did. I went to see the monkeys about 2(!) years ago. Was £60k when we spoke on the 'phone and then when I saw it and we started to talk money it went up to £90k! Naturally I declined.

I think it stayed in Sussex, I spoke to a chap who was keen to buy it a few times...they all seem to turn up over time. [;)]
