Midnight Blue RS

Hello I am 6 ft 3 and have pole positions in mine. I used the side mounts from Southbound trimmers as they have had some made up0 that are lower than the recaro items. Spot on for me. The only issue you then have is that the seat belt buckle is unusable. Not an issue for me as i use harnesses but a consideration. May not be an issue with Porsche buckets though I understand they are v similar to the pole position and spg anyway. Kind regards

'Took the car along to the Silverstone Historic weekend and what a great event it was. Top stuff, loads to see and loads of Porsche content. The 993RS was a bit lonely though..... [;)]

Mind you there was another nice blue car. It's probably not known to many on this forum.[;)] I thought mine was clean but I'm afraid I've got a way to go to match that car. Left me quite disconsolate it did.

Hi Paul, it was a solitary event for the 993 rs, glad you turned up, then pink pig pete came with his white rs making 3 for the weekend, the 964 rs crew were abundant in numbers so I stuck my rs there for some company, then had plenty of warm beer with Des in his mint green VW camper van, was a top weekend as usual with Paul Howells in the RSR and Paul Mac having some great track action with the 996 cup, roll on next year.

ORIGINAL: RIVIERAM002 was a top weekend as usual
It was indeed a superb weekend. Made doubly so for me by staying on another day for the PCGB track day on the Monday. We got to drive the full GP circuit and that was great fun in the 993.

Spent the day at Castle Combe today and certainly got to know how the car behaves in the wet. It rained and rained and rained. I was on Bridgestone 002's and they did rather well I felt. It was great fun following Vic and watching him disappear into the distance. He's pretty fearless in the wet for an old fella. Especially on Toyo's. [:)]

There's only one thing that scares Vic and that his lovely missus

Terrifies might be closer ................................lakes at CC mere bagatelle compared to the dragon !

Full marks Ferry Man , though cup cars did have the holes usually wiv stoppers in , rs and rs/cs all hole/washerless

You mean, just like 964RS ! Now I'm disappointed --- because it had 186k miles on the clock ! P.S. Thanks Vic and Ferry Man !!

I had a look over that car briefly at the classic, certainly better one of the better recreations, lack of sunroof helps,,,,easy spot was the lack of big reds and the blanked wiper hole in heated rear screen!...it just costs so much £££ to attend to every detail. I am going to have to get some of the stick on lamp washers, so that the experts can be sure, when they tell me mine is a replica...[:D] As Vic says ref the cup car front wings, usually a blank plate where the washer jet sits.....an easy spot is the lack of side indicator....As these wings were as fitted to north American C2/4's Porsche possibly had more of these made, so they were probably the cheapest wing to replace once the cup car dinged a wing in qualifying as occasionally seemed to happen [;)]

Chris, don't knock it mate............in fact maybe worth fighting the enthusiasm, otherwise you may end up as sad as some of us ! []
