Modern Car event at Gaydon 17/05/09

Yeh, take me off the list please Gary. Sorry for the short notice, especial for lunch numbers.

I think I would rather spend the day out driving polishing my Reading drive routes ready for the end of the month.

Again, really saddened that the Club has decided to take this stance and remove the Gaydon morning drive [:(]

Hi All

Have today passed by the Heritage Site in Gaydon on the way to a horse show and there is a large poster outside the entrance regarding a "Porsche Show" on 31 May. Are there 2 shows or has somebody got it wrong?

Only two weeks later TIPEC hold their annual show at Gaydon...
Funny how timings work out.[&:]

and how they manage to market their event so well.

Hi Gary, I indicated that I'd be able to join the cotswold run a while back but due to heading off to work location in the evening am only likely to make it to Gaydon for the lineup i'm afraid. I'm hoping to introduce my pal to the club that day, least I can do as he has just bought my Boxster S for his wife as her (his) wedding anniversary present, oh! he got a saxaphone in return. Conjures up visions of his wife driving with the top down

playing his sax drowned out by the exhaust rasp!

Mark, I don't think the Boxster owners will be having their roofs down at the event this year [:(] if the weather forecast is correct.[:'(]

At least the parking is on tarmac [:D]

The great thing about a Boxster (or 99X Cab) is that we can drop the roof if it clears up. [8D]

Fingers crossed...

Some may be on the tarmac!!
I have sent an email asking about this though, so I'm sure plans are in hand.

See you all in the morning.
Don't forget that you have access to the museum and the conference room should it be raining...
Also the off road KN becomes even more fun in the wet..[8D]

Today weather was the same as tomorrow and it was a nice day at times today[:)]

Hi Gary et all,

Sorry for having to cancel on the day, but problems with Lucy last night means that I am left with toddler duties today looking after Tom.

I hope you all have a good day and drive, and that the weather holds out for you all too.

Hope to see you on the next run.

Have a great day,

Nige.

Many Thanks to those who came along today for this event.
Sadly yet again the weather was unkind to us for this event but many people did come along to say hello and have a look around.

Even the overflow carpark had to be used..[;)]

I hope those on the drive enjoyed the brief outing and enjoyed the views through the wet haze...

Gary
Thanks for organising another enjoyable drive round the area - one day I'll remember to set the trip meter before we set off... Another great turnout for the Register and good to see the Caymen out in force, and multi coloured.

See y'all at Poole next week

Thanks Gary, despite the weather it was an enjoyable drive and a great lunch location.

I appreciate all of your, and Roberts, efforts to make these events well planned and enjoyable.

Terry

Very much looking forward to the Poole event, I only hope the weather is better than today.
Mind you at times the sun was really warming [:)]

Good to catch up with you all again...

Just trying to upload an image of the Tted poster..

Gary,

Thanks for a great day out despite the rain, we enjoyed looking around Gaydon and the drive was a lot of fun. Lunch was excellent value. Our first day out with you 997 guys, hopefully the first of many, now looking forward to Poole .
Thanks again to both you and Robert.
