Will have to be in the work bus [:'(]

Looking further west weather looks like it may just hold off in terms of rain[:D]

Unfortunately as you would have read above Nick my "shiny" 44 is not back yet, so you are safe tonight.

I will be down between 7 and 7.30 in the "Scott" work truck. You should be able to recognise me from that [;)]

Just about to leave sunny Northampton [:)], keep the clouds at bay for me I'll be there in about 3 hours - I hope

I keep checking the weather forecast but I too didn't want to tempt fate by posting it!

I know if I put suncream in the car, it will rain, so instead I'll bring an umbrella - that should guarantee decent weather!

Just got back home, lovely evening, really enjoyed looking at all the cars and meeting up with everyone in person, nice steady drive back, and it would seem the performance friction pads spark a bit when they get up to temperature, they don't under normal braking just when you press them slightly or as they heat up as you come to a halt at a roundabout,on the last bit of the way home i was clowning around and can induce the sparks at will:ROFLMAO:
Again, really enjoyed it looking forward to another meet up at some point.

It really was quite something to see Marks sparks (hmmm new nickname [&:]) whenever he braked really hard for a roundabout. we all knew the PF97 pads created a lot of hot dust that can eat into wheel paint but this is the first time I have seen them in the dark.

Nice venue with a cracking view of the windfarms out to see and finally I got to see Mikes vivid green Lux/Turbo in the flesh [8D]

Agreed, cracking venue. Good to meet everyone in person and have a nose round some other cars to compare. Oddly enough, I left feeling quite good about my car (which I didn't expect lol).

Nice gentle drive home, until an idiot in a BMW coupe cut me up on the inside as I was about to overtake someone else on the dual carraigeway, then wanted to race at the next set of lights !! []
Now I don't normally condone that type of thing, but it was very quiet on a straight road with no turn off's, so I wiped the smile off his face ! haha Pretty quick for a 20yr old bus - it was enough to walk his 330 that was only 4 years old anyway [:D]. He acknowledged and sped off as I shut off at 70mph. Point proven I felt - the old girl did us proud !

Cheers again, look forward to meeting up with some of you again.

Mike

Hmm, Sparky Marky?!

Great night & so good to put faces to names/avatars![:)]

I have a few pics that I'll post when I get a min.

Good to have a quick blast too Mike ( mint green ) on the M53 for a couple of junctions...[;)]

Great to see so many 44 Turbo's in one spot and put names to faces.

Promise to have mine there next time, as I felt a bit left out[:(]

Will organise another one with Nick's help on letting the world know(if you don't mind Nick?) Of course there will be nothing "official" about its nature. A sort of "not club night"

See if we can get a few more next time and big hand to the guys that drove so far

I agree with everything anyone & everyone has said.I hadn't realised that we were in the company of the hallowed assistant 944 Reg Sec;I would have insisted to my wife that I take the 924s,so at least something standard would have been there. As for Mark,I just thought he was a bright spark[:D].Great to meet you all,& thankyou for U2 coming all that way;mind you George had a
reasonable trek from sunny Lytham.

Cheers,
Colin.
