Agree with TSCaptain - www.revolutiondetailing.co.uk near Bristol, Adam's a top chap but gets booked up so give him a rough idea when your car is coming.

New Car due March - Ceramic Coating?

Like you I am a bit OCD about the car but mine has to go out in any weather and the full Gtechnic is expensive. I had the Ceramic when it was new but only to the external paintwork. I am quite happy to do my own glass as required. I have found that a jet washer rinse, then foam ,then another rinse and fibre towel dry is all that is required. I can do the whole car in 20/30 minutes unless it caked in Norfolk lane mud, on which I use a soft hose-brush with water flow through it.
I have different summer and winter wheels and clean/protect them myself in the months they are off the car. I use Bilt Hamber wheel cleaner as required, and just rinse it off after 5 minutes.
I am delighted with the Gtechnic result and would not hestitate to have it done to any new car.
I paid £645 and the car was there 3 full days.

Whoops! Getting used to this forum. I should have read the following reply, is it revolution detailing? If so thank you all.
Many Thanks!
Thank you Clive it would be handy to have an alternative if you would be happy to forward the Exeter contact. Thank you.

Yes, he's done a number of cars for members of this forum.
I can help with that being local! It's Simon Belli. His website is "under construction" but here is his FB pagecrackpot62 said:Thank you Clive it would be handy to have an alternative if you would be happy to forward the Exeter contact. Thank you.

He and Adam in Bristol have worked together too.
Thanks everyone for the helpful input. A couple of people have commented - but what is the consensus for post-Gtechniq cleaning of the car - what does it need / how long?
I use the tscaptian formula but don't use MF cloths. Instead I give my car a blow dry with a air blaster. This is very effective, does a Heinekein getting water out of all nooks and crannies and used at other times to dry our very big and hairy Leonbergers.tscaptain said:I use snow foam, rinse, two bucket, rinse and dry with MF cloth. One hour tops.

I don't even bother with the MF cloth now, having just got myself this http://www.raceglaze.co.uk/car-care-exterior/wash/400-litre-0ppm-car-washing-filter/
So from this
to this (final rinse)
Wow, just read the reviews on that Peter! Now on the shopping list! The water around here is pretty soft in the first place so should give perfect results[] Even M, looking over my shoulder and said "What's that thing?", agreed we should have one when I explained what it does - not that she goes anywhere near the car cleaning..........[]
Hi I live in a very hard water area have thought about raceglaze filter has anybody in a very hard water area got one and what do they think how long does the filter last number of washes any feed back would be useful would save me having to dry cars off to avoid spotting from hard water

I give the car a wash as described above and rinse off with the power washer as normal. Then I connect the hose to the tank and I have lashed up an old piece of hose with a garden spray gun I had knocking about. That way you can then just run round the car using the minimum deionised water to finish the job off. According to the website the resin will last a good year (50+ washes) and replacement resin is available off amazon at a good price. I also bought a digital water tester for about a tenner so you can check the water quality (and have fun checking the regular tap and water filters around the house).

+1. But it is good to see evidence that cars like GT3s are actually used & enjoyed []

Thanks Peter.I've resisted the water filter in the past, being happy to MF dry the car and then polish, but this looks like the way to go when the car gets the Gtechniq treatment
