Can you just use normal wax afterwards, say Auto Glym HD wax, or does it require a unique product?

Yes .... worth every penny
In an interesting development, with just two weeks to go to delivery, OPC Wilmslow have advised that they are now providing GTechniq. At present its only the CS Light (5 year guarantee version) - and as far as I can tell there's c£100 premium vs getting the detailer to do it themselves. Nonetheless might be less hassle and worth it to have the cover of the dealer's liability for it.
Simon991 said:Hmmm - personally I'd rather have a professional detailer do it, as opposed to a car cleaner at the OPC. The professional route might cost a little more, but that reflects them taking a lot more time and care over your new pride and joy. []
...and more likely to point out and correct poor paint
It is actually an external detailer working through the OPC. Given Gtechniq only has approved installers, I suspect this would be one of the two in the region I wwoul have gone to anyway

We can highly recommend Reep Southern. Reep have looked after all our 911s, including our current GTS. We've had Gtechniq CS Black finished with EXO applied to this and our last 911 at Reep. Very happy with the high standard of service, quality of workmanship and the results of the Gtechniq coating. The beading is insane. Reep also give a discount of 20% off all services for club members.

No affiliation, just happy customers!

No need to top up the Gtechniq system with wax, as the paint will then effectively have the surface properties of the last product.
Gtechniq recommend applying their Gtechniq QD Quic detailer after every wash, (if you want to)
Either that or a mix of their Gtechniq C2v3 sealant mixed with filtered water 1:2 (pretty much same as the QD mixture)
The Gwash shampoo is nice, and I swear by the C5 wheel armour. Thats the best thing I've ever had on my wheels. £40 well spent for the larger bottle and easily applied by yourself at home.
Easy 12 months durability and zero sticks to your wheels. Especially worthwhile on diamond cut rims

Yes, defo.
I had my Turbo S done & also my RS6 PE. Both done by the same guy Chris at Summit detailing.
Beautiful results for both. I have no connection with summit detailing by the way.
My 911 is shown bottom left on his home page https://summit-detailing.co.uk/
