New members welcome and photos

Lovely car Paul, congratulations. White is definitely the best colour for the GT2 and the black wheels set it off beautifully. [8D] What spec. is it? Regards, Clive

ORIGINAL: GT2 Fan Hi Guys It's been a while. Some of you older folk may recall my Martini Turbo from when Kay and I ran the Kent Region. That was almost 10 years ago, now we are back. So not really new members, rather resurrected, this time with an extra turbo. Paul Dennis.

Hi Clive My car is a Club Sport with PCM3. Everything that could be carbon is and ;m still getting used to he new technology of voice command and seeing the tyre pressure on the dash. I'm extremely happy with it so far and can't wait to share it with other enthusiasts. I just bought a fun reg number for it GT02 OTT. Should make it easier spot amomg the other 11 white clubsports in the UK. PAUL

That's nice Paul, The only spec. to have for a GT2 IMHO. I'm looking forward to seeing it at a PCGB event sometime. [8D] Once you've joined the Club, why not show it off at our 997 display at Wilton House in August? Details are [link=http://www.porscheclubgbforum.com/tm.asp?m=673813]here[/link]. Also, look out for my old GT2 on your travels - similar spec. original Reg No. was GT08 TOO, but may have been changed since. [;)] Regards, Clive.

GT08 TOO is still on a GT2 but it is now shown as a red car. Did you have it wrapped in white? (I saw it at Exeter OPC)

Glad to see he is looking where he is going........ don't want to see the next pic?????[:D] Great Car.... Enjoy [:)]

Hi All, new member here! Just got my second Porsche a 997 C4S Tip 2007 21000 miles sports exhaust, Bose, Cruise, Turbo wheels plus a load of other stuff in Meteor Grey with dark grey interior. Got Porsche warranty as well. Does fitting front rad grilles affect the warranty I guess it does, so a case of having to remove them before it goes in for any work etc? Anyway just loving it! Just a bit noisier than my old 996. Are PS2 tyres any quieter than the Bridgestones? Speak to you all soon David

Fitting the front grills all depends on your local opc Ask them nicely Couldn't tell you about the tyres as I have always run on Michelin's Paul Look forward to seeing you on some drives Stunning looking car

Hi David, Congratulations on the new motor - looking good. Meteor is a very popular colour in the Club's 997 Register. Join up and you'll be able to compare notes. [:D] Regards, Clive

Welcome David, excellent colour choice [:)] As mentioned, speak to your local dealer, some are much more sympathetic to the grills than others... The 997 is known to have more road noise than the 996- something the 991 has cured from the information around. The Bridgestone tyres do have stiffer side walls than the PS2, so I'd suggest that Yes they may well be slightly noisier. However a very responsive tyre... garyw

Thanks Guys for your quick replies I'll have a word with my dealer Porsche centre Leeds. Think as someone said join up as a member so I will, looks good value with lots happening and looking like a friendly going on. Unlike some forums ! Another thing I meant to ask everyone does anyone know of a Gap insurance company they could recommend I've Googled a few, the best deal seems to be Ala price wise but Gap4you seem to get good feedback as well, although a lot more expensive. On an entirely different note I am a garage & Mot station owner for 38 years!!!!!! So if anyone needs any advise or help on anything to do with any type of car give me a shout, if I can help I will. Not looking for new business here just offering my experience for free ( got 3000 customers don't need any more thank you ) Thanks David

I think a Matt recently went through a simialr situation with GAP, I always used Lombard for mine.. Plenty of companies as you rightly say.. hopefully someone will recommend one shortly- mind you its only as good as when you claim!! As an ex-MOT man myself-- well done [:)] and I don't miss them days... garyw
