Thanks guy's. I wasn't too sure at first, mainly because I had moved up from a Basalt Black 987 Boxster S with black interior. But I love this now, it really grows on you. More about the spec. Memory Seats. Rear Wiper. Heated Seats. Sat Nav. Crested Headrests. Multi Changer. Electrochrome Rear View Mirror. Looking at having cruise retro fitted as I have this on my day to day car and find it really useful.

Great option to have and not too pricey for the OPC to retrofit... Usually my second option after heated seats [:D] garyw

Hello, just joined yesterday so slowly finding m way around With the price of Dieseasal at almost £1.50 per litre (~£6.80 per gallon FFS!) I've realised that I just can't justify the expense of my Mercedes E320CDI so I've chopped it in and replaced it with something smaller;

I've so far removed the original phone system and replaced it with a Viseeo, I've also removed the CD Changer and replaced that with a Gateway 500. I've written a "how to" guide which I'll post in the relevant section if anyone's interested.

Welcome to the forum Russell, teenagers do tend to like the Porsche a bit more [:D] I see another Cocoa interior, it's getting all the rage now[:)] We have a technical area which I'd love to be able to post a 'how to' guide and hear what advantages you've found with it.. garyw

If you're a 5' 2" driver that is! [:D] Welcome! There are some great 997 Register events coming up. Have a look at the calender and take your pick. Looking forward to meeting up sometime/somewhere.[:)] Regards, Clive.

Hi All Just joined and this is first post. I've actually got my dream car - since drawing a 911 on the back of school books all those years ago! Still pinching myself to think I drive a Porsche now. Will get round to uploading a picture soon. Cheers! Roelof

Welcome to the club and the forum Roelof Hope you enjoy the 997 ownership and lives up to the school book drawings [:)] garyw

Hi everyone, new to the forum and to Porsche ownership. Picked up a Gen I C4S from OPC Cardiff a week last Saturday. Cant believe it has finally happened! Been wanting one since childhood and luckily they are still making them. Photograph shows the car in Cardiffs workshop following delivery to them.

Thanks very much Gary. Yes the car was the only one in that part of the workshops on a Saturday morning. Been out a few times in it but the weather has been pretty awful around here this past week or so. Nevertheless, I've had a bit of fun to be sure and looking forward to quite a bit more! regards gareth

Thanks, Gary Here's a photo I promised taken at the weekend. I'm so enjoying the car and yes, the dream has been realised and better than that... it actually holds up to all those years of anticipation! A gem of a machine. Roelof.

Nice one, Gareth. As a newbie myself I'm looking forward to the club and meeting the members around the country. New and old-er ones! Loving my Targa in all weather. Have to say though, at the mo, wife gets to drive it to work every day - me only at weekends.[:(] Roelof.

The Targa is lovely and is quite a rare beast.... certainly in the 997 register. Although it has to be said those in the register do seem to be very active [:)] With the recent weather it does seem hard to get out and properly enjoy the cars...[:(] Fingers crossed it does get warmer and drier.. garyw
