New members welcome and photos

Hi Roelof, car looks superb, havnt been in a Targa or seen one with the roof opened up. We just need some weather to get out and about. The sun is shining today so brought the car in to work. Much more fun!!! regards Gareth

Hi Gareth Here's a pic with roof open - you can see the whole glass panel slides under the rear hatch. It's so light in the cabin - something I really love. Trust you had a great drive into work today; weather has been brill, here in the southeast anyway. Right where are the keys...

Finally after waiting 20 years to own one, I finally got there. A beautiful and I believe quite rare Carmon Red 997 C4S TIP

Thanks Gary, I will post some more pictures when I figure out how to size them properly!! Oh and when it stops raining and I bring her out :) Making her even more rare at 9000miles on a 2006 gen 1. Looks and smells new still and having bought it from Porsche in Sheffield (very friendly and brilliant service ) they told me it was part of a private collection hence low mileage. She has a huge list of extras too and now mine forever :)

I know the feeling, Chris. Although it took me longer than your 20 years! Looking forward to some photos - strange that we all love the 911 and have studied and enjoyed, what, thousands of pictures over the years - and still we want to see each others own statements! [:)] Enjoy, Roelof.

Geoff very nice[8D]...... is it Bob's old car? Looks like you have moved to Portland from the photos.....[:D] best we get a trackday booked up soon then....

Congratulations Geoff - a lovely car and only one careful, elderly previous owner! [8|] Did you buy Bob's spare set of wheels too? Regards, Clive.

Clive, I did have the spare set of michelin cups, wheel aid and torque multipler but he didn't have a spare set of wheels, least as far as I know?

Hello everyone, Well at 44 I have finally managed to get myself a 997. I have been looking for a couple of years but could not find a low ownership one in my budget and didn't want to be 5th owner! Anyway managed to find this Oct 2006 Carrera 2, Arctic Silver and Ocean Blue Leather, with a good spec, full history and one previous owner plus demo. Must admit I have smiled every time I have been out so far, and I am looking forward to great advice from all you experienced owners via this club. (PS last time I was in a club it was for the Beano!) Will upload the files when system lets me as it says they are too large? Cheers Mike

Hi Mike and welcome to the forum. Congratulations on your acquisition. The best way to get photos on here is to upload to photobucket or similar and then link to a post on the forum. Some instructions here......... http://www.porscheclubgbforum.com/tm.asp?m=263490 or here http://www.porscheclubgbforum.com/tm.asp?m=330961&mpage=1&key=photobucket Enjoy![:)]

Sorry guys I am being totally thick. I have a Mac Book Pro and have tried various things suggested, but don't seem to be able to get the files saved to a position where I can download them to here. Would anyone be willing for me to e mail them to them so they can try ?

If you upload the photos to photobucket then copy and past the image code direct into your post. img at each end must be lower case. I'll have a go otherwise. You can't send attachemnts via PM so send direct to ghfields@tiscali.co.uk

If you need asssitance you can email them to myself and I'll put them into your original post- or link from Geoff if he has already done it for you. garyw
