Hi Alan, Welcome to the forum and congratulations on your Porsche ownership. Nice to hear you're enjoying the experience - and it will get better and better. [] 997 Register is one of the most active of PCGB, so keep and eye on this forum. If you've not already done so, join the Club as this gives full access to all sections, useful technical information as well as enjoying many other benefits, including OPC discounts. There has been some talk of a Register Irish tour later next year, so you may be able to provide us with some input there. Nice car and lovely colour BTW. How's the PDK? Regards, Clive.

Thank you the warm welcome Clive. I will pursue membership and hope to take full advantage of the benefits that this brings, particularly in learning more about my car and having the opportunity to meet other owners. I will introduce myself to the Irish members contingent in due course and will be pleased to participate in any forthcoming visits you might want to plan. Looking forward to the overall experience of Porsche ownership. Alan
Yep, I like Aqua blue as well, welcome.

Hi everyone I just wanted to introduce myself and my new 997 C2S cab. I have posted a few times on the 997 forum, whilst looking for a car with sports exhausts and I have finally found one. My previous car was a Boxster S, which I had for 6 years and I loved. I have had the 997 for a couple of weeks and I am getting used to the different handling characteristics, such as engine at the rear and a light front end, PASM which constantly adjusts (sometimes off-putting). However, now I am more used to it, I love it. Here are a few pics (not the best time of year for photos) and I can post the spec, if anyone is interested.

I hope to catch up with everyone on the forum and at some of the events, in the future.
Hi Andy, Congratulations on the new motor. Very good colour (blue is the preferred colour in 997 Register[]). I like the wheels too. I hope you'll be using the Cab. over winter and not hiding it away in a lock-up somewhere. It deserves to be driven![] In Photobucket, click on the photo's IMG code and paste it into your forum post. Then change the
link code to lower case ie.
and you should be good. Regards, Clive.

Hi Clive and tscaptain Many thanks for your warm welcome; [] I will be using the car throughout the winter but not in the salt, if I can help it! I have edited my post and re-uploaded the pics with your suggestion but still no joy. Guess I will have to make do with the ones that have posted successfully. []
Hi, Just upgraded from an 02 Boxster and realised my dream. Since I was taken round Porsche Reading at the age of 8 !! and being allowed to sit in those gorgeous cars of the 70's, I was fascinated. I think it was being allowed to kick and dent the back panel of a 928 and see it pop straight back out. That was cool when your dad had a Cortina with dents all over it !! So its taken me 30 + years since to get there..... 911 Heaven....
