As frank Carson would say "that's a cracker !! " Very nice , glad you are enjoying it to the full

Hi There I have been a member of th PCGB since 1996, had a few cars since then, 930 turbo,993RS replica (ex Steve King), 944 Race Car but now I am close to heaven. In June this year I bought a 55 plate 997 C4S in GT Silver with Cocoa brown extended leather, Factory GT2 aerokit and loads of other extra bits. I will post up some pics soon, but I just cant tell you how nice a mix it is between a sports car and a luxury car. On track, done Rockingham and Brands already, it is very capable and an exciting and rewarding drive. On the road, apart from being a bit hard and noisy on our crap british road surfaces, its like being in a limo. I hope to bump in to you fellow 997 folk in the new year, till then Appeeeeeeee Chrimbo to you all.

Hi Stuart here, based in Hampshire I bought a 2011 Turbo S Cab a couple of months ago and what a fantastic car it is.

Welcome Stuart The forum will only hold small-ish pictures, it's easier to host them and link in.. [link=http://www.porscheclubgbforum.com/tm.asp?m=330961]http://www.porscheclubgbforum.com/tm.asp?m=330961[/link] If you don't have hosting (its free) email the picture over to me and I'll put it on my host for you. It can be difficult to link the first time, but the mods will correct the link where possible, I'm pleased to say we do more of that type of work than any editing of removals of posts...[:)] garyw

Its done 49K on a 55 plate , is there anything I should look to replace at or get checked out to ensure its reliability. Will be using the car everyday for work :) Cheers Nick

Hi Nick, Welcome to the forum and congratulations on the new motor. It looks a very fine piece of kit indeed. If you purchased from an OPC, the vehicle would have undergone a 111 point routine Porsche check, so you should be good. Obviously keep an eye on tyre wear and brake pads. Hopefully you'll have many, many miles of trouble-free motoring. 997 Register of PCGB are in for a busy year with lots of interesting events coming up, so join the Club and come and join us. Enjoy some great motoring in 2013. Regards, Clive.

Hi Lancerlot I was not from a OPC, would it be worth getting an inspection done? Thanks Nick

I think it depends on how much confidence you have in your supplier and any warranty that came with the car. If you're after peace of mind, then it will be money well spent. After all, it is a high performance sports car and you should be sure it is in good order. If you want to get an idea of what's included, take a look [link=https://www.porscheclubgb.com/legacy/clientftp/Register/996/faq_111_point_check.pdf]here.[/link] Regards, Clive.
