New members welcome and photos

Hi all, I'm new to the forum, and just got my PCGB membership through in the last week. Was a previous Boxster owner, a Dec 2005 987 S in Basalt with black leather - purchased new and kept it for 6 years - what a great car! Purchased my current 2006 997 C4S Cabriolet in August last year, Atlas Grey with extended black leather, manual transmission. Options include PSE, heated memory adaptive sports seats, Satnav and phone module, sports steering wheel, rain sensor/auto dimming mirrors, cruise, rear park assist, chrome exhaust trim, coloured wheel centres. Loving this car and can't see me ever selling it!

Purchased my new baby in mid May and just joined PCGB. My last Porsche was a 996 C2 which I had to sell back in 2001; sad day. Been saving ever since to acquire another! Looking forward to seeing like minded owners on forthcoming events.

Welcome to the club and the register forum guys. There's another year of great events planned for the 997 register and I hope you managed to attend some. It adds another dimension to club and Porsche ownership.

Hi folks, Another new London based member here. I purchased my first Porsche (2009 Carrera S PDK) a few weeks ago and have put it to good use so far with a trip to Bordeaux via Le Mans. Here's a couple of photos:- [link=http://s284.photobucket.com/user/jamesosborneuk/media/photo11.jpg.html]

Hi All, I just joined PCGB after two years of 997 Gen 1 Carrera 2 Coupe ownership. I recently toyed with the idea of selling the car (growing family, rarely gets used, doesn't really make financial sense etc. etc.), but I'm pleased to say that I couldn't bring myself to part with such a fantastic car, so I've just extended the warranty for another 2 years and had it serviced. I'm looking forward to getting to know fellow Porsche enthusiasts and attending different club events and hopefully the odd track day!

Hi Andrew, Welcome to the Club. HQ should be allocating you to 997 Register shortly and I'll email you with a welcome pack once this comes through. In the meantime take a look at the Register calendar - there are still some events this year - and we've already started to put together some great drives and socials for next year. The best way to enjoy your Porsche is along with like-minded folk. Regards. Clive 997 RS.

Thanks Clive. Look forward to attending some Register events in the near future. Regards Andrew

Hi all, Just joined PCGB. I have justed purchased a 2005 997 C2 Cabriolet Tiptronic with only 12500miles!! extended soft leather, sat nav, reversing sensors, Basalt Black. Just love the car. I traded my 2005 987 Boxster S in to get the 911 and definataly made the right move and a lucky find. The car has had full porsche servicing 1 owner and until recently all extened warranties. which i will have after 90 days of ownership. I understand that the car was presented to a lady owner from new for her 60th birthday at a presentation by her husband and was an article in the PCGB magazine , this was back in 2005 though. Does anyone recall the article, i would love to get hold of the article to put inb with the history of the car. Looking forward to meeting some of you on the meets etc.

ORIGINAL: jimi 1 of the previous owners had it stuck on,i have now taken it off.
Think I would be wary about buying a car that had a "S" stuck on - says something about the owner...?[&:] Did they make a Gen 1 turbo S? Not sure they did. Anyway, welcome Jimi, have you joined the club, btw? If so I will change your "Status"[:)]
