New Year/Winter Gathering 31st Jan

I was just wondering what merit (if any) folk saw in perhaps us organising a get together fairly early on in the New Year ? I know the old Titanic meet up in Reading has gradually faded (does it happen at all now ?) and an attempt to revive it at Cornbury House wasn't exactly well attended from what I recall hearing. I know there are issues such as Post Christmas poverty and potentially dodgy weather to take into account, but I think it may be good to try something. Nothing fancy to start with, perhaps a pub gathering and a bit of a drive if the weather is clement enough.

Would help banish the winter blues and just be something for folk to touch base via, as its a bit of a wait before the Spring/Summer events kick in. Could even throw it open to others in the front engined Porsche family ?

For those of us lunatic to have driven up from Kernow to Heckfield (Thru snow!!) for last years winter meet - my other (and most would say saner if not better half) has decreed that this is a BAD idea and has persuaded me by diverse means (Not to be gone into - I'm still limping at the thought!!) not to participate. So a spring idea would be excellent from my POV

hiya jon, hope your well, i would be up for it, winter or spring especially after having to miss ras get together because of work commitments regards jason p

Guess next question would be what location/part of the country should we look at ? If we were wanting somewhere reasonably "central" then could do with some suggestions ! Can think of some locales in my neck of the woods but can appreciate that that is rather far flung for many...

Leicester would be great - except not much of a run for us Mark! Think we want a nice place with a cafe/ resturant/ bar good parking etc - Whitwell at Rutland Water? Not too crowded easy access from A1 and A47. Just first thought. Mike

Given how horrid you all have been to me on the "Putting my foot in it" thread then I don't think I want to play any more. So count me out. >Sulk< Oli.
