Novice Track Evening Brands is Back 20th May!

ORIGINAL: nathan 1981 930 G50 Sure, although I'm not sure the quality is good enough. They were only took with a Sony cybershot dsc-p120 3megapixel digital camera clamped onto a seat. Would you like them converted to raw avi or mpeg2 dvd style? Maybe you'd prefer them (unedited) just as they came from the camera in mpg? I left my Porschefile at work [:D] I'll forward the email to Stephen Mummery. Thanks John.
Don't worry about the quality.  I've seen the run off from Dave's bullet cam now and its isn't crystal so we will most likely be doing some picture in picture or similar to compress it.  The on track elements are going to take a lot of editing but we have a fair amount to work with. If you would send me yours, unedited in its base format this should provide the least compression. If we can't work with that we will then go for a converted file.  Dave is keen to get on to the first edit so as soon as you can get the material to me the sooner we can see if we can work it in.
I'll send them asap to the club office as they came off the camera on a DVD as individual files.
DVD sent FAO John Sims.

Des, and anyone else who's interested. I am considering doing this event http://www.motorsportvision.co.uk/snetterton/trackdays/event-details.asp?ProductID=5318 Anyone want to join me? I'm thinking about doing the first and the last session. ** Please note that this is not connected with PCGB so your insurance company may not cover you **

I may well do a couple of sessions on that one - sounds like a bargain :)

£25.00 a session excellent value encouraging the beginners ...... pity we don't have the same philosophy as a an enthusiasts Club, I did try and follow up Brands ........ be good to see you guys out there again.

ORIGINAL: jon grindall Nathan I'm interested. Are we coordinating or just booking through the link you gave? Jon
Do you think they'd give us a discount when it's only £25? [:D] Now, if we'd found out about this a long time ago then maybe it would have been possible to buy all the spaces for say two sessions making it a Porsche only event so my insurance company would definitely cover me for it. I think we'll just have to book it ourselves individually and meet up when we go, if you see me come and say hello. Black 3.2 carrera sport coupe. As it is, I was only going as a friend wants to do a track event in his Jaguar and I don't think it would fit in well with a PCGB track event. I could be wrong but I think he would be too slow for us? It's a 1995 XJ6 Sport and he has never done an event before. Any comments?

Would you come Des? Why is not happening with PCGB? The last event was a complete success and must have made the club a lot of money.

Well depends how it is set up and lightenend ........ will be entertaining and give him plenty of room ........ good idea about buying a group session elsewhere.

Hi Des, His car is stock. [link=http://www.carfolio.com/specifications/models/car/?car=26554]http://www.carfolio.com/specifications/models/car/?car=26554[/link] Looks like it's no slouch and will give my carrera a run for it's money [:(] 1.8 tons is going to help me through the corners though [8D] I rang up today and on a 'Taster' event they cannot offer a discount. I've booked the first and last sessions of the 16th of July taster event. Hope to see some of you there! My insurance company have offered me cover for this event for a fee, even though it is not an all porsche event. I wonder if next year we could get 20 to 25 people together to have a full day at Snetterton where we would get approx 7 20 minute sessions exclusive to us porsche owners. Doing this means our insurance companies will likely cover us as it would be all Porsche sessions (not an all Porsche event though). Cost should be no more than £150 + £10 helmet hire if needed. Garage use would also be an extra too. I hope I haven't stood on PCGB's toes with this but Des has tried to get another event for us and PCGB are not (currently) offering an event at Snetterton this year, which I thoroughly enjoyed last year. Anyone interested?

I think you have got yourself a job Nathan, maybe arrange it for end of September 2009? Why not .... sure they will be pleased with the business.........[:)]

There doesn't seem to be many people that have booked this event according to this thread. I hope nobody has relied on the PM and email features of this forum as I believe they do not work. Anybody else booked the event for the 16th?
