Currently only GT3 racing version is directly available. But i suppose if you have some money available, they will make 944 systems as well http://ohlins.se/Product-search/?query=porsche

I think for 98% of our cars on these forums that KW V3’s are easily good enough. Unless you are frequenting the track on a regular basis you really don’t want to get involved in multi adjustable units unless you are a real tech head that just loves fiddling with settings all the time. Personally having a ‘Set and forget’ unit that serves a dual purpose (firm for smooth roads – forgiving for rough or undulating surfaces) is great for a mostly street driven car. I thought LR used to sell Ohlins and they were expensive. I’d be curious if anyone has contacted a U.K. company called Nitron. http://www.nitron.co.uk/ I hear good things about them.

I've got KW v3s on my S2 powered 924, and they are a pretty good compromise for a few trackdays (especially as my 924 is much lighter than the average 944T) and mostly road. Had Nitrons on a TVR Cerbera. Pretty good on track, and excellent service from the company (e.g. when better valving was available, the upgrade cost was absolutely minimal). Quite harsh on the road, so had to soften setup with softer ARBs etc.

I spoke with Chris from Center of Gravity today. I hope to have details and perhaps one further option to throw into the mix some time next week. Will feedback when I have more from Chris.

For clarity, the other option is moton suspension. I appreciate TTM's comments re the same but am hoping in case I opt for these, Chris will be able to set the car up just right...

I have Bilstein Escort Cup kit bought from Lindsey on my machine with the rear torsion bar removed. http://www.lindseyracing.com/LR/Parts/944SUSESCORT.html Personally, I love them. Guys who set up my car are rally guys, so they kept the car at stock MO30 height, with the standard 16 inch alloys and tyres. It's a truly awesome machine on the back roads, and more than capable at the track. And west of Ireland we're talking here, bumps, corners and camber changes by the new time. Rear end feels so much tighter than stock, absolutely fantastic. I'd describe the ride as very firm, but not quite "hard", I've not yet have someone get out of it and complain of discomfort, but at the same time I don't remember bringing my mum for a run either ! Drove it as my everyday driver for over a year, often on business, and loved it. She's currently parked in the parents garage until I have time to bestow some much needed love (or in the Porsche dictionary, MONEY) to her again ... I do imagine however if you were lowering the car and sticking on 18's or similar, camber plates and perhaps a set of bucket seats, she would be bone shakingly stiff. Donal, another 944 head friend of mine (who has driven and riden in far, FAR more 944's than I) always raves about the setup, and he's shown himself to be a fairly knowledgable cookie on all things 944 on many, many occasions.

Will check out the Bilstein option. I emailed Lindsey Racing this morning and asked about delivery cost. Hope to have a reply by tomorrow am. Is it available from a UK supplier? I don't want to spend more than what the KW kit costs. It doesn't make sense. Ohlins & Moton are great but out of my price bracket. Today someone suggested the GAZ gold (with telescopic rear) as another option. I know a lot of people here have the KWV3 set up and rave about it. Has anyone had experience of both? GAZ are almost half the price!

Most 'Promax products' are actually Lindsey Racing products sold at an excessive markup, so the kit may be available, but its price may not be attractive.

I assume, if you are talking to RPM, they have mentioned the KWv1's which are a couple of hundred quid cheaper. Unless you are actually going to adjust your suspension (rather than fit, twiddle and forget), KWv1s ar a good option. (On Ollie's recommendation, I have fitted them to my 964).

Ollie didn't mention KWv1's. Most likely (as Edd confirmed) because they are not available

Ollie did initially mention there may a Bilstein option available but it didn't materialse. Probably because of the product not being suited to my requirements. (Mostly road use with ocassional track day.)

Bilstein B6, as in the link below: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/400303951509?ssPageName=STRK:MESINDXX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1436.l2649 Probably available cheaper though, as theyve just hiked all of their suspension prices substantially. Simon
