Will be a great day out - I did a couple at silverstone in a similar vein (not in the 964). Caterham will be fine, you will be having so much fun, you'll forget how cold it is when you are in it! Caterham will be easy - Porsche will be hard! Pls report back!

I've just booked-in at the Avenley Arms. There are just two rooms left so act now if you're thinking of staying there. As for evening meals, if there are going to be a few of us they would appreciate knowing in advance and they should be able to seat us all together. Someone may have already sorted this, if so please let me know and I'll try and add my name to the list, otherwise maybe the diners should should speak up and I don't mind forwarding our details unless one of you regulars already has this covered. Ian.

Just did the same, count me in for any dinner. Last time I went that far North I left it late and ended up miles from anywhere. Thanks for the Post to remind me.

A bit of late Info, the Irish Mafia are trying to organise a few laps at Trac Mon , Anglesea on the day after the RS day. 90 mins for Oulton, we will keep ypu info'd of how it works out. Anyone interested either PM me or post here. Two great tracks in two days ?

I'd be interested in the Anglesey day

This could get confusing. There are two evening meals being discussed here . Pre and post track day. One at the Avenley for those staying and the " new age travellers" who may arrive the night before and the post track day meal , organised in fine fashion by oldtimer. Might be worth generatiing lists for both ?

As we are there for both nights, can you count us in for both ? Had the car on the rolling road today at thruxton, and seems the maf sensor is possibly faulty, so need to get this sorted in next few weeks

CANCER RESEARCH UK Why Cancer Research? Some of you may know/remember one of the main organisers for years at this event was Tim Newman. He has been and is extremely ill at the moment and it seemed only fitting to help out research into this terrible illness. I, like many others, have lost friends and family to the big 'C' -only last week a friends' wife rang me to say he had passed away after a five year fight -he was forty eight and a successful session and show musician going places.... Please give generously on the day. All money collected will be forwarded to Cancer Research UK in Windsor.

ORIGINAL: Melv Count me in for dinner!!
Count us in too. I've spoken to Julie and arranged dinner (and possibly a few drinks [;)]) for myself, my friend David Hilton from the Speed Championship, Spud & John P at the Alvenley Arms along with the rest of you boys staying there overnight on the Thursday. We will also be at the Chetwode Arms on Friday. Spud will have his gorgeous 64RS back at Oulton after his disastrous engine blow-up at last year's event and David & I will be bringing along our new toy that we are co-driving in Class 1 in the Speed Championship this year. We had a promising test day at Brands Hatch last Sunday, so I'm really looking forward to seeing how she goes at Oulton. [:D]
