OULTON PARK RS DAY 2014 IS GO!!

The proprietor of the Avenley Arms said previously that if we let her know in advance she would try and seat us all together on the Thursday evening. I would suggest 8.00 pm for the actual meal, there is always the bar for any early-birds, and that anyone wishing to be included should add there name here. I will give her a call nearer the time and confirm our booking. Ian Harvey

ORIGINAL: timbarber David & I will be bringing along our new toy that we are co-driving in Class 1 in the Speed Championship this year. We had a promising test day at Brands Hatch last Sunday, so I'm really looking forward to seeing how she goes at Oulton. [:D]
Stop teasing Tim...what are you bringing? [:)]

Ian, I have already spoken with Julie the proprietor at the Alvanley Arms about the four of us joining the Porsche mob for dinner, but please add us to your list.

Well Steve - you may have seen her out at places like Loton, Shelsley & Prescott.... [link=http://www.zipp.co.uk/gallery/Shelsley-Walsh-2011-08-21/Peter+Turnbull_+Porsche+911+GT3+ID1874.jpg.html]996 Race Car[/link]

Tim I'll leave it little while yet to give others chance to put their names down. Do the 'apres' mob drive home afterwards or do you need time to recuperate? Ian

Most attending the 'apres' also stay over on the Friday night to recover from beer and steak consumed. One or two will resist drinking beer and travel home after the 'apres' which will mean you avoid the Friday night rush hour traffic. If staying over on the Friday night too, stopping at the happy guest lodge just down the road is convenient (few minutes in a taxi or a 45 minute walk from the Chetwode), although not as convenient as staying in the Chetwode car park in a motor home. But you have to be on very good terms with the landlady to get permission for that. [;)]

I've now booked a table for 10 people at the Alvanley Arms for Thursday, 8.00pm. There is still scope for people to add to the list which currently reads as follows; Ian Alex D Andy S and Henry Melv Paul H Tim + 3 Any late runners can ring the Alvanley on 01829 760200, the booking is in the name of Ian Harvey/Tim Barber.

Hi Laurence, I've just called the Alvanley to add you to the list. The number has now swelled to 13 so other people have clearly added their names, you may be one of them. Either way, they are very flexible and can accommodate more on the night if necessary. They also appreciate that we are all travelling considerable distances and that some may be late (too late?) for evening meals. Fingers crossed we all make it their on time, I'm really looking forward to the whole thing, see you all soon. Ian.

Recent video of Oulton from one of the GT3 boys. Lots of resurfacing has been done over the winter. Shell oils and Druids are looking particularly good. [:)] https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JJ9ehR4g1V8
