PCGB Track Day with OPC GLasgow

ORIGINAL: gordon Any coming from over the border?? Have u heard how many up for it from OPC ??
no idea gordon, I would be surprised if Glasgow and Edinburgh dont sell their 15 spaces fairly easy

Are spectators allowed at the event? Don't really fancy tracking my car but would love to come along?

I was up at OPC Glasgow this morning picking the car up. They didn't know anything about the track day. He's off to investigate the situation.

Speak to the sales manager Robbie or service manager Iain they know the set up for the day also Katie in marketing is dealing with the organising. D.

Katie is organising it for OPC Glasgow - spoke to them about it last week, they are also asking OPC Edinburgh to participate. Who or when clients are to be offered the places if something you need to ask OPC. I do belive invites will be coming out very shortly. As I have said on this thread many times, they have 30 spaces to sell, OR book through the club office. regards Scott.

I am new to this forum but have booked a place to keep up with Alan Chester. Don't know what to take though. Newly re-built 1982 SC or lovely low mileage 2006 Cayman S. Never tracked a car before but did a few bike track days in the distant past. What are you taking Alan?

This. If you're a club member book through the club, the more people who do this then the more chance the club will do it again, it would be nice to have a regular PCGB-run track day in Scotland.

I was in Glasgow OPC yesterday ordering parts. I spoke to Ian about the track-day,he said the dealer manager is off on holiday but he would bring up the subject of spectating at the day. I asked if we could pay for hospitality but not track time as a couple of people including myself would be interested in going along but not tracking. He said he would find out and let Scott know any relevant details ( sorry for giving you more work Scott )

There way be some refreshments during the day also. lunch to be sorted by individuals. I will speak to Gemma at Knockhill and check that Kinnairds will be open. 21 booked through club - dont know how many have booked through OPC yet. regards Scott.

Cool Owner of Kinairds is a customer of mine. I'll ask her if it's open.

ORIGINAL: Stuey650 I've signed up for this with my 944. Complete novice so if anyone sees me on track give me a wide birth!
i am sure you will have a ball, if you havent had the car on track or had it prepped for track - you might want to consider some fresh brake fulid before coming along, and ensure the pads have plenty of wear left, regards Scott.
