PCGB Track Day with OPC GLasgow

Thanks Scott. Yes doing a full service on it this weekend. Got oil last night and ordered the maintenance kit (sparks, oil,air & fuel filters etc) online yesterday. The car got a few advisories on sections of brake lines at last MOT so going to sort all those and change brake fluid whilst at it, and of course check the pads and replace if need be. Its also due a coolant change so whilst I'm at all of the above I be aswell do the job right & include that too. I did nip past the Aberdeen OPC on Monday to get a quote for all the above, but I'm not sure the wallet will stretch that far, so seems it will be a day on the axles stands on Saturday instead.

I was in OPC Glasgow today, they are just about sold out also, if anyone is still looking to attend, I would book asap, cheers scott

Any word if spectators are allowed? Was going to pop up for a gander as prob' left it too late to get car booked on.

Yes they are allowed as far as I have been told so long as you are PCGB ...but best turn up in a Porsche as I doubt they do not want it turned into a public day out event

Looking forward to this. Am taking a friend along, presume we are allowed to take a passenger (with helmet and long sleeves etc)? I got new brake fluid at last service and checked the pads, plenty of meat. Will take some oil and a few tools just in case. Do we have an area we can leave stuff? Don't want to be lapping with a box of tools etc in the front boot (upsets the weight....)

Just received paperwork for the event and noted the track day concludes at 4pm. Before you complain (as I did) its a misprint and the day concludes at 5pm. Ive had communication from Steve Kevlin and new letters will be sent out in due course. D.

yes another wee mistake [:-] think they would check [] just costs the club more money[] [] cu all there regardless of the snow forecast [:D][:D]

club money ? Actually all track days are funded and all cost/liability are completly separate from PCGB owners club. They are solely Porscheclub Motorsport as are all the speed and race events. None of the members fees goes towards any of the Motorsport events or track days they support themselves from sponsorship. FYI. I have been told its sold out, not sure about OPC. Which is good news for those in the club that would like to see an official PCGB track day held in Scotland each year. cheers Scottie

just remember K/H doesn't have fuel on site so take some jerry cans with u as ull be down to 8-12 /gallon on track turbos even less !! Nearest petrol station is 30mins return drive

Hi, I know not the right subject heading to publish this as it refers to the RS day but I was so excited Ive been able to upload my very first youtube video of my very first outing at Oulton Park in my GT3. Very tame compared to some of you guys vids but only leaves room for improvement. Ta, D. http://youtu.be/G6p129CFqSI

Liked the little movement coming out of Old Hall several laps in .[:)] Pity about the rear view mirror-it spoilt my view of the bends but nice drive & video all the same.

Great video Donald , really good quality considering the speeds we were going at , mighty awesome car and a privilege to be a passenger [:)] See you at Knockhill for round two ! Michael

Think we'll come along to spectate for a bit tomorrow. Did the Silverstone Experience last weekend with another couple which was great fun. Hope to see some of you tomorrow in action.
