PDK......2500 miles and more feedback

I wasn't thinking of something as exotic as an F16, Gary. Just a plain (excuse the pun) old Airbus which could have been controlled the "old-fashioned" way but they chose not to. And as for the Typhoon.................![:D]. Like I say, I think there's a place for both - I was looking at a kit car today as an alternative bit of fun. A world apart from the 997 but terrific in it's own way. (Never mind PSE, btw, you should have heard this thing!)

Hi J

The 'Blip' is a very quick depression of the pedal and it should be so quick that the car hasn't time to accelerate. On my non PDK box one can drop from 5th to 2nd or 3rd dependant on road speed.

My son has been experimenting with his PDK box and can easily drop from 7th to 3rd in the blink of an eye !

It is a strange process to get it right and you may need to find a quiet long straight stretch of road and have a practice play around with different 'Blips' !!

Hi Tony

Many thanks for explaining this further and for pointing it out in the first place - after further experimenting I wasn't depressing the pedal far enough - makes getting past on the single carriageway roads that little bit smoother. Shame that the feature isn't widely known about - (I suppose the same could be said for launch control but the opportunity to use that is limited, at least in the UK).

J.
