Porsche Spotting

Guards red S2 cabrio in Guildford centre on Tuesday, 6.45pm.

On the A3 yesterday saw this again, only this time with the roof down, highlighting that it was being driven by a lady.

There was a really nice gold G plate 944 at The Ace last night. I had to leave early, and by the time I left is was the only other 944 at the meet.

That was me! Parked next to your red lux?

Yesterday I also saw a white '44 going up the A1 at Archway, very quickly!

zcacogp : Silver Lux, reg C944-something, heading west on the Roman Road in East London, on Wednesday.

Hello matey!

That was me! Nice to see another '44 on the work run, I'll keep a look out for you when I'm round Bow :) I'm very lucky to have a garage under the office where I work in Shoreditch, so I drive in most days. I'm sure you can imagine the difference in happiness levels between going to work in the '44 vs the central line!

I've seen quite a few fellow front enginers recently...a red 924 in Snaresbrook a couple of weeks ago, then a silver S2 Cabby with German plates in Epping on the same day. Friendly waves from both :) Today on a blast round Epping Forrest I saw a nice black 968 coming the other way. On a related note...does anyone know any good driving roads round that neck of the woods? I've found a few bits and bobs but nothing great. Before I moved to London I grew up in Malvern which had some wonderful roads!

Cheers, sCam

if it's j reg it's probably my wife in her car. we live just south of guildford and she uses it to commute to work in walton

Crumbs ... driving a 944 into the office in shoreditch, where you have a garage? What an immensely cool life! I salute you sir!

Are you coming to the garage day ... thread elsewhere?

Oli.

ETA: Great driving roads ... you need to get out into Essex. There's stuff there, or so I am told.

Or go and have a look at the Scotland thread ... now there are some awesome roads up there!

Hi

Nice black cab southbound on M6 around J4 in roadworks yesterday, Thursday, 8am ish - hood up!.

I was stuck 2 hours on the northbound.

White Lux w/white leather interior (mmm, nice![;)]) in Haslemere on Friday and an absolutely spotless black turbo cab in Tilford on Saturday

Good-looking grey S2/Turbo heading west along Old Ford Road, East London, at around 8.00pm this evening. Mrs zcacogp remarked that she had seen it around before, but I couldn't remember it.

(I would have waved, had I not been in the back seat of a green Scirocco!)

Black S2 driving up through Kingsthorpe, Northampton lunchtime today. Number plate looked like it said RUM, could this have been Paul Smiths other half by any chance?

Yes J reg, so must be your wife. Tell her to look out for a J reg S2 in Black in the coming weeks.[;)]

Meanwhile some more Sussex based 944 sightings.

Church Road, Hove on Thursday, Guards Red 944 Lux with a private plate ending in "944". Nice.

Beaconsfield Road, Brigthon on Friday, another Guards Red 944 Lux, this time on a D plate.

And last night a 968 Sport in Silver being given the beans coming onto the A23 after Hayward's Heath. Was going very well.

red one on the M3 went off towards salisbury i was on the outside lane not sure if it was 944 or 924 it was between 2 lorries saving fuel i think :)

Saw two 44s within the space of a minute today leaving Guildford, as I was entering on the road adjacent to the Spectrum, the sports centre.

First was a convertible S2 in red, driven by a gent I think as it was only a quick glance and the other was dark blue and I got a wave, but I didn't wave in time and didn't notice its spec, sorry. [:)]

And yes I was in mine! As yes she is working again. [:D]

Immaculate and I mean immaculate 1990 S2 in Maraschino red at Fox's Garage, Guildford. Linen leather, maraschino piping, orange indicators, coloured wheel crests, the real deal. Lovely.

This one? http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/1124266.htm

I thought that when I saw it the other day but it lacks the piping on the seats and the Porsche logo on the numberplate. Shame, as had the one I'd seen been £3000 it would have been a bargain, as it really was Concours condition.

Spotted a nice looking blue 944 on the back road between Tavistock and Brentor this morning around 8.45, he flashed but I was too slow :)
