Porsche Spotting

I'm seeing loads at the moment, mostly cabs though

Nice one, with top down, going south bound on the A3 today whilist I was going north bound - we were both in the outside line - so our approach speeds was obviously no more than 140mph [8D]- so apologies for the sketchy detail

However, going home between Esher and Cobham again on the A3 was a lovely Cab with the top up and a lady with long brown hair, I had a good sideways look since she wasn't going quickly. Again I forget the colour[:)], but I think it was red but reg was H939 ***

Immaculate and I mean immaculate 1990 S2 in Maraschino red at Fox's Garage, Guildford. Linen leather, maraschino piping, orange indicators, coloured wheel crests, the real deal. Lovely.

This one? http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/1124266.htm

I thought that when I saw it the other day but it lacks the piping on the seats and the Porsche logo on the numberplate. Shame, as had the one I'd seen been £3000 it would have been a bargain, as it really was Concours condition.

I might pop into Fox's and make enquiries!

Got the relevant details this time too!

Black J-reg S2 with a blonde in it seen this morning on the A3 heading towards the M25 jn by Wisley. She looked good too [:D]

That's typical. I never get spotted, but the minute I lend the Porsche to my girlfriend she gets a wave and I have to schlep up to London on the train. []

Presumably when you say "she looked good" you were referring to excellent condition of my 944? [:D]

Her company car has gone back, so she needed some transport as she doesn't collect her new car until the weekend, meaning you may see her again so she will be under strict instructions to wave.

Black 944 with red lettering on the boot - heading through Lytham towards Preston, just by the windmill at about 19:00 tonight. Didn't notice the driver too much, but unlike in the previous post, he wasn't a good looking blonde.

Ha! I read that and thought it sounded like James' machine, and in his neck of the woods too. But "attractive blonde" - that wasn't James! [:D] [:D] [:D]

Oli.

Spotted on the M1 heading south just north of Derby at about noon today was a nice white 944 which looked like a Lux. Not sure of the plate but think it has a few W's or X's in the reg. Very deep dish alloys on the rear.

I was in 'the other vehicle' unfortunately so didin't give a wave!

Red 944 lux on D90s in Chippenham B+Q car park.
I parked my "borrowed" S next to it for 10 minutes whilst I popped in no-one was around.

Silver S2/Turbo spotted leaving Dorking on Saturday morning. I was in the S2 , I was driving, I flashed, I waved, I got a wave back. Hoorar!

Blue 968 coupe Soar Valley way Leicester,Tuesday evening 4.30 ish, I was in the '44 but too late to wave!

Lovely looking 944 Red Coupe southbound M1 nr Northampton 3.00ish but was in the van heading north

Red 944 Lux in the forecourt of Burnaston Garage on the A516 between Etwall and Mickleover. Looks like it was either waiting to go in for some attention or just come out after receiving some. Looked nice and clean.

Sunshine seemed to bring afew out today round me . Saw a nice Cobalt Blue S2 in town - gave a wave but only got a stare back. Pulled over to fuel up ready for my trip to Silverstone tomorrow and a white 968 went past at a reasonable rate of knots. Finally when I was filling up a guy came over for a chat - turns out he is restoring S2 cab in Lithuania of all places and he was interested where he could get parts over here. Small world. [:)]

Black Cabrio on the ring road/A30 around Basingstoke at about 7.30pm this evening - I was travelling oposite direction in Black S2 (flashed).

Tref.

924 Silver on a garage forecourt in a little village (Catsworth I think) near Huntingdon.

Not sure if it was for sale or for repair / service etc

Also a nice looking Stag there today 29 07 09

Mike

Probably - I am of an age!

Was about 10 when Stag came out Italian style and a big V8, every kids dream!

And a guy down the road had one which was as close as I was going to get to a supercar.

Mike

Red 944 S2/T with black bridge spoiler northbound on Avonmouth bridge 5.30 ish Saturday.
I was going the other way in another car but it was in the outside lane making "progress"!
