Porsche Spotting

The white 944 D...DWP i see everyday, but i was in mine for a change, on the a413 near Aylesbury, both waved, he needs to see this as for about a month now his ARB has been hanging off the passenger side, so if you know him, let him know before he ends up in a ditch.

Mine has some company in the station car park at Huntingdon! A nice Gunmetal Grey G reg S2 parked up opposite mine, not sure if it is a one-off or whether someone had seen mine and got to wondering...

if you want to steal a 944 there are two parked up every day at Hunting............[:D]

I saw two tonight. The first a white S2 turning in to a side road by my office in Green Street, Sunbury, Middlesex. The other was a red S2 (I assume it wasn't mine as its in the garage!!!!!) going anti clockwise on the M25 between the M40 and M4 junctions at 16:39.

Red S2 (?) drove down the road my office is on, on Royal Oak in Daventry, this morning - sadly, again, was driving the S-Max.....

So, reading the article in Porsche Post on "The Red Shed" I can only assume this was James Fielding picking his car up from Premier Coachworks, which is down the end of the road my office is on! I have never used them, but this article seems a pretty good recommendation, so maybe next time I need something doing I will go there...

James, do you read this, or are you involved in any club related activity? you are pretty close to me.

Great article, but indeed a warning (as Paul McN points out) on the true cost of 944 ownership!! (not that we need one)

Gold 924 (I think) Having tyres fitted at kwik fit across the road from our office in Shinfield, it was around 2pm and the car looked good with a toast rack style spoiler fitted.

Saw a gold convirtable S2 with top down, pulling into station road chester, I waved he waved, was a beautifull moment ...

Best moment like that I ever had. Summers day with the windows open and the roof off, I was overtaking on a long straight near where I live and coming up the hill the other way a red 911 complete with wail tail spoiler was overtaking at the same time. We both smoothly pulled back into our respective lanes at the same time and flashed/waved as we passed each other at 'Porsche' pace. I felt good about being a Porsche owner at that moment:)

Racing cars not posers cars (like the advert):

Saw Paulf968 with the orange machine on the trailer on the M1 this morning near Nottingham - hope you had a good day Paul!
Also good looking S2 in blue with D90s at Farndon on the A46 near Newark this afternoon - loved the colour!
Mike

Saw a Silver/Grey 944 possibly S2 at a set of lights somewhere near the resevior about 5 mins from Staines at about 17:45 last night. I was stuck behind a rather nice red 993.
The 944 driver and i shared a wave...It was nice as he's the 3rd 944 i've seen in the 5 weeks i've owned mine and the other 2 never waved [&o]

I was on the M80 from Falkirk to Glasgow last night and another black 944 passed the other way through the roadworks. Didn't have time to flash lights or anything, but it was lovely to see.

A glimps of a nice looking red 944 going west on A34 just west of M40, this afternoon about 3.30 - I was going the other way on the dual carriage, waving not appropriate.

I've seen three today. A white 944 going clockwise (I was going Anti clockwise in the 944) on the M25 between the M3 and A30 junctions. Then two at the breakfast club at Goodwood. One (Black) in the overflow carpark near me and a very nice and original red turbo in the main arena.

I saw 2 944's driving together today, think one was grey and was a blue colour? Could be wrong though. It was on the Reigate road (A24), shared a wave and were on our way. Was it you?

Lloyd

anyone at the Haynes Motor Museum today ? Saw an early 911 in the car park . I guess nobody saw me driving along the A303 from Petherton to Sparkford today then huh !? [X(]

There was a white S1 parked behind mine in the car park next to my house in windsor yesterday....Number plate was *** 944S anyone on here?

We went down to the Suffolk Coast at the weekend and saw a white 944 with black Fuchs parked up at Snape Maltings, I only caught a glimpse of it, my Daughter pointed it out!

Nice red D plate 924 on the M69 near Coventry this lunchtime - guessing its the same one I've soon before and a late 356 on the M6 near Birmingham - don't see many of those on the road!
As usual in the van, but going the same way for a change!
Mike

White 944 S2 or Turbo, G Reg heading towards Kendal at about 11:20 today. Then, heading South down the M6 towards Blackpool, overtook a LHD Ferrari F40 (or more likely a very good replica!) at about 11:50 in my Mondeo Diesel!!
