Porsche Spotting

Graphite grey ? 944 Turbo with private plate XXX 1248? zipping through Merriott Somerset today following a rather nice young lady in a BRGreen Jaguar

I was paying too much attention to the ocupant of the Jag to take in much about the 944 but I did notice it had a strange decal on the rear valance rather like a fish?

Spotted a shiny black 944 passing "Shot in the Dark" in Cardiff. City Road around 10.30pm ish!

Nice black centred rims with polished lip [8D]

A very tidy red 944 on a C plate effortlessly overtook me on the M3 between the M25 and Junc 1 at 8.15 this morning. Unfortunately I was in the touran otherwise it would have been a 'brace of red 944' travelling to London.

Black S2 /Turbo southbound M1 near Lutterworth (J20) lunchtime today, as usual I was heading the opposite way in the van!

2 in 2 days. I saw another 944 this morning at 6.30am ish on the M25 going anticlockwise and it got off at the leatherhead turning. White and dirty, a well used 944 as they should be.

My wife saw a white 944 cab pulling out of the royal ordnance depot in Weedon and heading towards Daventry, earlier this week. Wondered why the roof was still up, given the weather!?
I had a v freindly flash from a red 911 cab (mid 80's?) just outside Daventry, near Staverton, this morning.
Am using the 944 just about every day, given the weather!!

Not a 944 but idiot in 997 (think) cab, hood dowm 60 in a 50 on Aston Expressway on the phone for all to see!
Mike

not 944s ether, but 2 great expamles seen today -
A brand new boxster speedster (with 70's "porche" logo) in a great metallic grey, in Danetre School Car Park, Daventry, this morning, then a Porche 356 speedster at Quinton House School summer fete this afternoon! I was in the 944 on both occasions, wish I'd taken "alongside" pics of each, as the '44 sits right in the middle, age / development wise!

6.30 ish on the 7th in compton surrey, me in a red s2 cab you in a silver s2 cab. both flashed lights and waved. nice to see another cab localy, although i have seen a black cab around, usualy when i am in my golf.

3.30 ish today coming back from Brands on the M25 i think i saw a familiar red turbo!!!?????[:D]

Don't see any in Leeds for months then 3 in 2 days.
Red S2 at Sheepscar with personal plate, Red S1 in Holbeck, toast rack, black wheels, personal plate & a gold S2 cabby in Crossgates.

I saw a Gold 'G' reg S2 Wednesday lunch time near Bristol, I was travelling from Aylesbury to Cornwall in my red 944s. You had a number on your bonnet on a white circle and we convoyed for a while.

Spotted a light blue 944 S2 cab outside Neil Garner performance engineering yesterday.
My 944 turbo is in for a MOT.

That was me going to the Le Mans Classic (via Cornwal, to meet up with pops and his mk2 Jag), number removed now...[:)]

Today about an hour ago in Wilton, whilst following a Champagne Cayman S in my battered black 944 S2, waved at a Black Cayman coming the other way - said Cayman driver didn't wave at the other Cayman, but did return my wave! It was a full four finger, palm-out wave as well!!!

...Do you think he just thought it was some-one that knew him?

Quite ironic yesterday seeing a certain Guards red turbo heading northbound on the A1 20 miles north of Peterborough! The only 944 spotted on a 900 mile trip from Scotland to Ipswich and back today!
