Porsche Spotting

hiya,a kalahari biege early 944 parked directly in front of my red s2 in surrey quays shopping centre on thursday, had a club sticker,a-reg,from a distance i thought it was edds[copperman] but then could see it wasnt an s2 but a lovely car nonetheless, anybody on here? great to see 2 944s together in a big car-park amongst all those new and "modern" cars ,cheers jasonp

Two today, both in Gillingham, Dorset. A white S2 or Turbo heading towards Shaftesbury late afternoon, then going past Cole Street Lane, Into Gillingham from East Stour a red 944, realised it as it went past... If you noticed, no, you weren't mistaken, it was a black 944 S2, towing a trailer with a cement mixer on board!

Spotted two on the A21 headed south this afternoon, near where the speed camera used to be. White one gone before I could see it closely, and just after it a lovely metallic blue cab. [:)]

Metallic blue turbo F999 xxx on the A329 at Bracknell heading to the M3, I may have tail gated a bit in a blue VW Caddy to get a better look! Oh and passenger rear light was out.

Early 944 in white, for sale at a car wash place in Sturminster Newton (Dorset). Didn't stop to check condition, but clocked non standard wheels and some form of body kit / side skirts. Also, 2 black 944 turbos (one possibly an S2) outside a house in Stour Row.

And my car should, finally, be back from JMG next week, so that'll be another 944 in my little part of rural bliss.

You sure it was Stour Row not East Stour? Since we have a Black Turbo and Black S2, it would be bonkers to find there are another two Black ones within half a mile!

Just been down to have a look...No bodykit other than a toastrack rear spoiler, the wheels are Miglia 1000 19" running 235 35 19 Coninentals on the front!!! Didn't look at the back, I was already in shock! Unfortunately, the interior is tatty - brown fascias appear to have been poorly glued on top of a black pinstrip seat interior. The towing eye cover was removed, and towing eye and DME relay on the passenger seat. Rear wiper in the back seat.
I think the bodywork looks pretty reasonable, only the faintest sign of bubbling on the nr/side rear arch, and no sign of bodywork, just a couple of small pain flakes on some trim. Sticker correctly intact on the rear panel (evidenced by the drooping boot carpet). 139k miles, and it is a later dash. brake discs rusty, so suspect it has been stood for a while.

It could clean up and be a nice shiny car... but at the moment, if you listen carefully, you can probably here it barking...

Too many to choose from at Snetterton today; a lovely blue 928 S4, a white 924 and a purple '44 cab amongst others. There was also a 968 bobbing around and a pretty white F-plate 911.

Nice red S2 southbound on the M6 2.00 -2.30 today, left at J6 - I was in the Van as usual but was going south as well.

Surprised you could keep up Mike, given it was in the fastest colour [:D]

White Panamera on the back of a break-down truck southbound on the A1 around the M25 junction this morning, about 8.30...:-(

Very tidy 944S (either very dark brown or black) D477 *** on the M25 headed clockwise near the M4 -M40 junction earlier today about 1pm. Anyones on here?

Tidy looking G plate in the fastest colour on the old back road to Bath earlier this afternoon.

I did wave but was in the van.

Is there a special wave that us weekday van drivers could do - any ideas?

Sorry Paul, but my eyesight isn't good enough to see that... could you not paint your van pink or something?[:D]

I usually find driving on the wrong side of the road get's their attention and waving... works on any car, not just Porsches!
