Porsche Spotting

Somebody in a Blue Mondeo flashed and gave the thumbs up (with a cheesy grin) as I drove into Huntingdon yesterday, wasn't anyone on here was it?

ORIGINAL: A9XXC

I only do about 3k a year

In the 944

About 1k in the Galaxy

But I see lots of 944s

Maybe its the 35k in the van.........

strewth Mike thats a lot of miles ....

Last time I worked as a Surveyor for a District Council some weeks I was doing 250+ miles per day ! but still didn't manage 35k that year!

A few years ago I was doing 50-55k 210k in 4 years in co vans plus 4-5k in my car!
That was a lot!

Monday could be 400 miles but today was only 120.

Spotted, horn tooted, and exchanged a wave with a very shiny bright red B reg 924 (I think..) that was coming onto the M5 around Worcester today. I was hooning down the outside lane at the time[;)] so, didn't get much more of a look...cheery driver though[:D]

After nearly 2 years and 10,000 miles I've at last spotted another one. A red cabriolet with the hood down going east on the A46 somewhere near Evesham. I waved, I don't think he saw me.

a very nice and clean red 944 S2 or Turbo on a H plate going West on the M4 this afternoon at 16:15. Near Swindon

saw a white S2 coupe (so not geoff in his new cab!) in Daventry on Saturday - J444 MAR? - is this the one i have seen a few times on the A5 in the early evening?
was in the new smug-mobile (Renault Grand Esapce, 7 seats, 50+mpg, 135g/thingy, £120 car tax), did wave but doubt i was noticed.
did get the cab out for a few trips on saturday, though

Monday early afternoon M6 northbound near Coventry maritime blue 944 think J plate - looked like Neil H but not sure about the rear spolier

Passing Wolfie's usual Monday night pub haunt last night I saw a red 944 moving in the car park and slowed down to wave at him, as it pulled out of the space it was a Carrera GT, or very good copy at least. Nice car to take out on a Monday night for a quick pint! [:)]

Very very nice black late 944 with bridge spoiler and nice aftermarket wheels in Hammesrsmith lunchtime turning out of Blythe Road into Hammersmith Road going west - H plate IIRC

It looked sparkly clean and was the dogs danglies amongst the modern cars whicha re all relatively tall and bulbous, looked low and fast - I got all nostalgic for my old one [&:]

Just been in Convoy with a very shiny Red 968 between Junctions 9 and 10 on the M4 this monring, it really showed up the not so shiny red of mine.....[&:]

Saturday evening out of Chicklade on the A303 westbound, a nice red cab, waves exchanged through the camera up the hill!

Red S D...MKK parked outside the Robin Hood pub in Monmouth on Saturday. Rather tatty paint but nice teledials. Had a toastrack tail end. Was that a standard on the S?

Not a common site around these parts although an A reg 944 lurks not 400 yards from my gaffe!

Going northwards on the A34 north of Abingdon I was overtaken by a very nice looking black 968. Waves were exchanged. Then going through Buckingham I saw a silver blue "X" reg 924 on a trailer .

Black 944 Heading west around the Sparkford roundabout on the A303 yesterday... I was in the red 924T Cab that nipped out in front of the Lorry in front of you... Sorry I didn't wave, was struggling to find the right gear in the dog-leg box without getting mown down by the afore mentioned lorry!!!

Not a 944, but a very nicely presented Boxter. I'd popped into Halfords to buy spark plugs and oil and parked as far as possible from any potential door bashers. I came back with my stuff to find this car next to mine. Clearly the owner thought he/she was safe next to a fellow Porsche owner.[:)]

Pay no attention to the dirt that's on my car. [&:] It had a very thorough wash the following day!
