Porsche Spotting

Re Black Beauty, that was mine.. C reg, it is in fact a Lux - one of the previous owners from the car's sketchy past must have amended the body work, in good condition though as you say and still runs OK after 234,000 miles.

Yours looked smart too, black is underrated on the 944 - and Senna was smart as well.

Very smart 924S in a dark silver (titanium?) on the A5 near Atherstone this afternoon. Had a very unusual rear diffuser, based on the S2 but coming up 3" higher around the rear wings and much further still around the rear wheelarch , a bit like a 968 has round the front of it.

Got a wave from a silver 993 just outside Chippenham tonight around 5.30.
There's no spotted thread on the 993 forum. Lightweights!

Just found a pic of the rear diffuser - Exclusive

going round northampton late this morning on danes camp way, when a blue 944 S2 Cab pulled out alongside me, going towards M1 - looked great, but not so instantly recognisable in that colour - sadly was in my new renault grand scenic and didnt get the opp to wave / flash, but did get my 944 out this afternoon for a quick blast around!

I have been very lucky in the last few days as my eyes and soul have been treated to some real classics.

Last Thursday I was stuck in a traffic Jam on the A3 just approaching the M25 and in the outside lane was a beautiful convertible or speedster 356 in silver, with two passengers in it.

Then on Monday evening going clockwise on the M25, approaching Leatherhead where he exited, I saw another 356, and again convertible/speedster and again in silver. Now I am sure it was a different car since the male driver of the first one I saw, had a beard and the second one didn't, but nonetheless, it was a stunning car.

Can it get better, well equal anyway, yesterday I saw an immaculate early seventies, pre-impact bumper 911, I think it was an E. I forget the colour, think it was blue or green but again stunning.

Oh and not to let the 944 fraternity down, I saw a white S2 in Guildford lunchtime on Saturday.

I can't wait for what I will see next

Two on flatbrd both on the A50 today!
1st near Utoxettor dark blue with matching bridge spoiler about 2:30 .
2nd near the M1 bright blue - may have been a 924 the spoiler seemed small.
As usual heading opposite way in the van.

I saw two 944's at the Nurburgring last Sunday. One, an S2 in a very nice colbat blue and the second a lux is a plum colour. Both on German plates. I was on my bike, waved and was returned a very odd germanic look by both.

Saw a stunning 997 GT3 in Riviera Blue on the M25 near the M40 turnoff this morning with the plate 911 GB, so wonder if it was a press car?

924 Turbo? Y reg in red Asda roundabout Leicester Monday lunchtime.
It had turbo wheels but I didn't notice the vented badge panel.
Could have been an S with a cherished plate I suppose, very near home but I've not noticed it before.

no-one ever spots my S2 [&o] even when I give advance warning of when and where lol.[:D]

Who owns the white 944 S2/turbo that I see occasionally in Lopen Somerset ? Must be a student or someone visiting as its there for a few weeks and then missing for months .I'll stick a forum card on it next time i see it

I think S2s are invisible Nick... The only people to spot mine are the bomb-squad, despite covering around 30k per year... Maybe because I try to drive when the roads are quiet...

Maybe that explains why people keep hitting it too...
