Porsche Spotting

ORIGINAL: tref

Black '44 heading North on the Lower Luton Road out of Hatfield this morning, about 8.10 am, waves exchanged:)

Again this morning, but otherside of the roundabout at Wheathampstead, so no wave exchanging - looks like it is on D90s!

Black 944 in Sandhurst around 3:50pm today. Didn't get too good a look at it as I was distracted by the summer dress a lady at the roadside was almost wearing.

Saw a very smart (fastest colour) with reg LIL ???? in the Bournemouth area earlier today.

Wasn't really paying proper attention as satnav was taking us on a mystery tour []

I think he means black[;)]. I saw a lovely d-reg lux or s in guards red on the Oundle road in Peterborough opposite orton mere on the way back home from a meal today. It had a nice set of german style plates and looked very tidy. That's only the second 944 I've seen in Peterborough!

I saw a red s2 joining the a217 at kingswood, surrey, this evening at 6ish. Then a silver 911 e from approx 67-69 went passed, pretty sure it was a left hooker, looked beautiful nonetheless

I spotted a Black 944 ahead on the A1 Southbound this morning but traffic thwarted me for a while, it wasn't until the stretch near Wigglespade that I was able to break free and do my normal strafing run from behind

It was a very shiny Black Lux with box sills, waves and smiles were exchanged as I went past

I was then approached at Welwyn Tesco Petrol station by a fellow 968 owner and had a nice chat whilst I filled up!

Red Lux with an E plate parked in Beech Court just outside Hurst along the Wokingham Road. Did a double take seeing another red 944 parked there. Usually mine is the only porker. Edited to say this was on Thursday.

Jeremy - Was it a B plate Lux, if so its a REALLY lovely example. I've seen it several times at shows and Silverstone etc. Sills are factory ones and a 2 owner car.

Edit - Forgot why I came here - saw a red '44 on a transporter heading North on the M1 past Nottingham this afternoon[&o]

I was a lucky boy this morning.

At about 8am this morning i saw an early 928, unfortunately on the hard shoulder near leatherhead, on the m25. It didn't have its bonnet up, so i assume he was waiting for the fuel truck!!

Then five minutes later i passed a beautiful left hooker 912, i could only tell the difference as i was that close i did wave, but i don't think the owner saw.

And yes i was in BB today,

Mike, I can't remember what reg it was to be honest, but it was very, very shiny

I have found this pair languishing in a yard in the centre of Thrapston, Northants, unfortunately the value of 928 S2s are so low that this is probably way past economical repair now, the Excel looks interesting though, one of my friends is doing a driving tour of Italy in his as we speak (last year he used his Jensen Interceptor!)

Red 944 S2/Turbo heading east on the A14 between Huntingdon and Cambridge about 1.30pm. I was going the other way, in the beemer so didn't flash!

I'm away in Wales for a rew days and have seen a few front runners, a burgundy ( sorry forgotten the correct name) on the B4333 heading for Aberporth around 10:10 this morning. On the same road but further away from Aberporth a guards red 924 or 944 parked in a drive and a 968 again guards red in a car park for a narrow steam railway, think the town was Tywyn. Any one here??

Pete

A very nicely turned out red 924S on the A417 at Gloucester. Reg was C*** TPC....wonder if the owner was a TIPEC member???

Out on the A303 today and saw a red (fastest colour [:D]) G plate cab just coming up to the Ilminster roundabout.

And later on going the other way near Mere did a double take at a Zermatt D plate being tailgated by a big white box trailer. [&:]

Spotted this on our driveway next to the Clio [8D]
