Spring Run out 4th March

The first of what will hopefully be many planned drives out for the 997 register.
Details will appear in Porsche Post, however first notice will be here on the forum.

To get us into the spirit of the New Year and looking forward to the better weather, A social day and drive out has been organised for the Register, a spring drive out. The total mileage for the route is 90 miles and involves approximately 2 hours of driving.
This is not a day for driving gods, but for people who enjoy great roads, views and company.
Overview maps will be provided, but no navigational skills are required, it will be a convoy type event so that all persons in the car can enjoy their day.

The day will start at the OPC Silverstone (Towcester) at 10am, where Refreshments will be available and time for you to check out the latest additions to the 997 range.
We will then take a steady meander across some great parts of the Cotswolds taking in both scenic and spirited roads, stopping off at the clubs headquarters, Cornbury House in Moreton in the Marsh for the monthly open day. This part is 60 miles and will take us approximately 1hour 20minutes, arrival should be around midday.
We'll be spending time at Cornbury House to give you a chance to look around the shop, the displays, and enjoy a coffee with like minded Porsche owners and drivers.
As always on the open Sunday's refreshments are available free of charge.

After our stop for approximately an hour at Cornbury House we will continue on our route across the Cotswolds area. The second part of the route offers the chance for great views for your passengers and the chance for the driver to enjoy their Porsche on some exceptional roads"¦ This part will include the great drive up Fish Hill and some superb winding roads on route to our lunch destination on the outskirts of Stratford upon Avon. This section is a short 30 miles and should take us about 40 minutes"¦ Owners are more than welcome to join us at Cornbury and continue onwards with us to lunch.
Lunch is by prior booking so you will need to contact either myself or Rob Prince to book your place. Lunch is pay on the day.
The lunch is the only cost associated with the day"¦ that and the goodies at the club shop!!

From the lunch venue it is easy travelling to either enjoy Stratford upon Avon or back to Warwick where some will rejoin the M40.

If you are interested in attending please post your interest below and/or contact the 997 register.

I've sent an email to the RS (Rob Prince) who will contact you with the welcome pack/email.
You will also need to send an email to head office to change your avantar status to member once you have your membership number..

Also added you to the list for the 4th [:)]

Having owned cars that have been in warranty (and require OPC attention []) I have to say the membership has been very much worthwhile.
On my previous car I saved 4 years subscription off the major service!!

OK Gary - please add myself and my other half to the list. It will be an early start from leafy Cheshire - but what the heck!
See you there.

I would be interested, but is it okay if I bring along my daughter who will only be 8 weeks old in March(?).

Fully understand if you guys want to keep it an adult only affair.

If fine, then me, +1, +little1.

Peter, Graham, Ronnie , glad you can make it.

Graham I look forward to finally hearing those pipes.
Ronnie, if you're proving the 997 can be used as a family car then you are more than welcome [:)]..
