Dear Gary and Rob,
Thank you both for organising such a successful and enjoyable 'drive and dine'. I'm sure I speak for all the 997 register attendees in saying it was a brilliant route, start to finish, and I reckon it would be difficult to meet such a decent bunch of people! We know how much hard work went into this and it is greatly appreciated.
We look forward to meeting you both again soon, and best wishes Rob for your April wedding.
Kindest regards, John

Just to echo Johns note - thanks to Gary & Rob for the event; well done guys. Good trip, food and company!
See you all at the next one!
Graham, Hazel & Sarah

Gary, Rob, Thanks for organising this, shame about the weather but we had a great time regardless, good company, good food and wonderful roads. I for one will never forget driving through Bouton on the Water and the look of sheer joy on the face of a hand clapping bystander as a gaggle of 997s passed by.

Here are a few pictures:

Guys, firstly an apology[:(] .. As hard as I tried I couldn't book the decent weather [;)].
However I'm please to see it didn't dampen anyones spirits.

It was a pleasure to be out with such like minded people both for driving pleasure and dining.
My thanks to you all for attending, It has given both Rob and myself fresh vigor to work towards the next event for the Register.

It has yet to be decided how the second group managed to sneak in front of the first group [;)].
Whilst we did lose some during the route it was great that the system almost worked and we all managed to regroup in time for the Mickelton road and onwards to lunch.

I do sincerely hope both the drivers and passengers enjoyed themselves and look forward to meeting everyone again soon.
I'm pleased that many of us also saw the enjoyment that other get from seeing our cars out on the road

A couple of small selfish thank you's

Rob as the joint organiser
Robin Simpson of Silverstone OPC for on his day off coming in and making us all both welcome and coffee.
Monty2 and his wife for being the rear sweepers in my group, Helen and Larry in Robs group (although he did lose them [;)]).. I hope I explained how valuable you were.

A big thank you to Gary and Rob for the excellent organisation today, and an equally big thank you to everyone who launched their Porsche boats and made it a really good day out. Jean and I would like to add our names now for any future 997 drive/lunch combo's.

Thanks to all

:ROFLMAO: Paul, I remember you taking that picture.. we were discussing if you were turning around !!
You had me worried for a moment..

Dear Rob and Gary,

Pam and I would like to add our thanks to you both for a job very well done! We had a great day in lovely company, and the driving was brilliant - in some ways the rain made it very atmospheric with all the spray thrown up from the convoy! Thanks to you both, and everyone else who turned up to make it such a good day. Best wishes, John and Pam [:D]

From an ex 997 owner and RS, thanks for accepting a rather minor Porsche and very old Cayman S. Glad to see life still in the Register.

Just a quick thankyou from the volunteers at Cornbury House for your Register visit. It made life much more interesting and enjoyable for us too. Just a pity that we couldn't be more enthusiastic about the cars themselves but Club equipment doesn't yet run to snorkels.
Our return journey to Blackpool was, to put it mildly, somewhat exciting, in all that rain, with visibility down to a few feet at times, but we enjoyed our day and look forward to the next one.
Bring on the 997's.

macandsue, thank you for your comments,
It was the first time visit for quite a few of our group, I heard many comments of how enjoyable the visit was to Cornbury.
The weather was against us, as we had hoped to gather all the cars at the front for a photoshoot.

It was a good job the Concours comittee was in a meeting at the time of our arrival and departure, they may have had a conory at the state of our cars :ROFLMAO:

glad you got home safe, it was a "bit" wet !![:'(]
