Very nice and clean Allan, with the rain on the way back my car actually returned cleaner than any of the prior runs of the route- about the only upside of the rain.

No ones has mentioned the Tesco van keeping pace yet [:D]

Nice drive through the Cotswolds in my new Porsche and a pleasant lunch with new-found friends - there are certainly worse ways to spend a dampish Sunday. [:)]

Just one point - I'm putting myself up for an X15 engine upgrade kit just as soon as one becomes available so I can keep up with Gary and those Tesco Van Drivers!!:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

It was good. A beautiful morning - quite a contrast from the previous day! I could have done with it being a bit wetter so as to make it more interesting! (You just can't please some people [;)]).

For those yet to go, this thread may be of interest. http://www.porscheclubgbforum.com/tm.asp?m=269693&mpage=1&key=&#269693

Hello Clive,
I think Simon my Porsche tutor rumbled you for your umpteenth visit to Flitwick and Millbrook, I simply said well if people keep coming back to buy more Porsches then the whole Millbrook/MIRA thing works then. Although my trip was in a Carrera Tip it didn't take anything away from the the handling experience around the alpine circuit (although the orange GT3RS that sat outside the Manor would have been awesome on the Millbrook circuit) .
I came away from the morning having learned a great deal about the handling differences between my Boxster S and 997S and boy does it give you confidence when you hit the wet patches that lay just beyond the brow of the hills on an otherwise dry circuit. Anyway Clive wasn't Sunday wet enough for you?

Hope to see you soon

Paul

Hi Paul,
Full marks for covering my tracks. I'm now such a familiar sight at Flitwick, the hotel staff think I'm an instructor!

That GT3RS did look the business, didn't it -(colour's a bit bright for me though!!!![:D]) Mind you the turbo in sports mode was no slouch around the alphine circuit!

Great seeing you - the 997S is a lovely car, isn't it?
Keep in touch and hope to see you soon.
Regards,
Clive

I didn't have any problems overtaking the Tesco Van and leaving him behind , even on a narrow bit - So are we talking about a second Tesco Van here or had you done soemthing to your cars (oily rags in the exhausts etc)[8D]

Mind you I was trying to hang onto Mr Prince's tail at the time and he wasn't hanging around (scalded cat comes to mind)
