Hi,
As well as joining the spring drive on the 4th, I've also managed to get myself added to the Millbrook 997 test drive on the morning of the 5th. I've previously driven around the test tracks in a Cayenne S and a Boxster S which was excellent especially the Alpine circuit all with some excellent driving technique tuition. I'm involved with vehicle trials and visit many of the UK test circuits all have good points but Millbrook combines them all. You will have a hoot af a day and time will fly making you wish you had a longer session.

I would add these Porsche Test drive plus half days become additive

Paul

Thanks very much - I am very much looking forward to the Milbrook half day on 26th.

Hm yes done previous trainig day with Boxster - Seems like a good idea to do 1 a year to remind you waht your car can do when its not on Public roads

To all attendees, I have emailed out the information pack for the 4th March.
If you haven't received it shortly, please let me know...[:)]

Gary
A most excellent info. pack. Many thanks to those concerned with its production - very professional.
Just a couple of omissions :- are crash helmets and pace notes handed out at the start or should we bring our own? [:D]
Looking forward to meeting everyone on Sunday.[:)]
Regards,
Clive

Gary, I don't seem to have received mine yet! Could be my ISP has nicked it. Is it a large file? John.

John, resent it to you, on the email provided... hopefully one will get through [;)]

Clive... You will get additional paperwork at the start, all which will be apparent on the day..
If you find a helmet attracts the ladies then please feel free to bring your own along with you :ROFLMAO:

Gary,

Can I also add my thanks for the excellent info pack? Looking forward to meeting everyone on Sunday, and fingers crossed for the weather! John [:)]

Gary, thanks for all your and Rob's efforts in putting this event together and for the email with the info; are there any changes to the version you gave me at the R9 meeting?

Looking forward to meeting fellow 997ers on Sunday with fingers crossed for a break in the clouds.

Allan

Allan, slight word changes to do with items we briefly discussed at the meeting. But thefacts are the same [;)]

Does look to be going towards the wet side, not good for us or the photoshoot for Ragley hall either...
On the prior pre-run it had said wet, however it never rained until the very end of the day...

One thing I can't control sadly....[:(]

i'm off to Halfrds to get myself some new windscreen wiper blades, i don't want to drive into the back of a 911 in stealth mode[]

Excellent info pack I knew I should of bought some printer paper during the week (now top of the shop list for tomorrow).
Lovely day to be out in a Porsche, sunshine all the way from Kent to Lincs via Beds 14.00 to 19.00 ( just a few friday delays encountered) shame I was in the company Focus.
But I kept smiling thinking forward to this Sundays 997 fest (plus Helen's and Larry's 911) see you all at Silverstone whatever the weather.

We're running the route again tomorrow, starting at the official time, if anyones in the area, you have my number..
According to the weather centre, tomorrow should be a dry run...[:)]

Paul, I had almost the same thoughts when I had my shades on today.. in my van [:(]

Rob and myself ran the route through again today in splendid sunshine [:)]
There were no large floods after the current rains and all roads were present and open [;)].

The weather does look as if it will be a wet one, however we own everyday usable sports car, so even in rain we will run the event, (sunday lunch is way too important to miss!!!)
Don't forget your cameras and umbrella's [:)]

garyw

Definately the camera its supposed to be very windy as well so probably water proofs not brollys

If you see a 997S in guards red with an aeorkit en-route - give me a wave, as I'm doing an IAM check drive this morning !
Have a good day
David
