RS FEST 2013 IS GONE!!!!

Really looking forward to this now(need something to look forward to). Have booked the Lodge for Zolder. Will come along to the eifelrennen too . Not sure what to do about accomodation there. B&B or do i brave camping ??? Here's hoping we get some well overdue sunshine. The countdown timer on the eifelrennen page says 66 days !!!!!! Not long !

Just gone and bought the Vivian article in Autocar June 26 1991 , that covers the launch at zolder. Already had it in a brooklands book but quiet liked the idea of having the original magazine. There are still at least three copies on ebay if anyone wants one.

Why don't you stay with us at the B&B? It's a lovely place up in Kottenborn. About 10 mins from the track. I've stayed there 3 or 4 times a year since 2004 and never been disappointed. If you decide to stay, send them an email and tell them you are with me. http://pension-hilberath.de/pages/englisch/pension-hilberath.php I managed to get a copy of the magazine a couple of years ago off Ebay. Haven't seen one for a while. [;)]

Des the lodge at Houthalen(6 clicks from Zolder) still had rooms last time i looked. I am doing the ring part of the trip as well as Zolder but Monday morning I am going to head down to Stuttgart possibly Via sinsheim (auto technica Museum) so i can finally get a look at the Factory Museum. Anyone wishing to join me most welcome. Also it looks as if i have a spare Passenger seat as my intended passenger can't get the time off.

Assuming that you guys have been following the PH thread on 'Easytrack ceased trading' you will be aware that there has apparently been plenty of underhand goings on by a particular person who was heavily involved with Easytrack and P-o-T. And as you are probably aware, it is that person who was handling the organisation/payment collection of my RS fest at Zolder. I learnt late last week that Zolder had not received the deposit payment even though i have emails from Marcus at P-o-T confirming that he'd paid them mid March. Understandably Zolder are not happy as they have had other enquiries about that date and have subsiquently turned them all down. At the present time the date is still available. The reason i haven't contacted involved parties as yet is because i've been working closely with the guy who has taken over the Easytrack database, Dino at TT Events. He has been liasing with a friend of his who is based at Zolder and a Dutch trackday company who seem very willing/eager to take over the event and fill the rest of the places required. They are also willing to honour all those that have paid to drive regardless of the Easytrack situation. If the event doesn't go ahead, anybody that has paid and cannot obtain a refund will be offered a trackday at the Nurburgring on 23rd Sept or alternatively pick one from TT Events 2014 calendar. That is the current situation as of lunchtime today. The rest of RS fest 2013 week (Eifelrennen event, Spa, Bruges etc, will go ahead regardless). I controlled the funds for the Eifelrennen event and i can confirm all the tickets have been paid for in full.
